Struggling to sleep? Any tips? in Health ·
Just wake up at 7 AM one day and power through until bedtime—that’s how you reset your internal clock. Honestly, what’s the big deal?
Honestly, the stuff you're dealing with doesn't sound harmless at all—you seriously need to find a new doctor who isn't feeding you nonsense...
It could just be anemia or something, but there's no way a physician can just brush it off as "just being young"😲
And if they thought you were actually old, they’d probably blame it on your age instead...

Maybe it's an issue with your inner ear or your sense of balance?
Urgent: Stomach issues - Need help ASAP! in Health ·
Maybe it’s just some lingering effect from the surgery—did you have it done laparoscopically or was it an open procedure?
So, is the pain hitting your stomach or more in your intestines?
I remember one time my stomach hurt so bad I couldn't even move—it was brutal. I ended up taking some activated charcoal and it cleared right up. Honestly, it probably was just some bad takeout or food poisoning.
Just stick to a bland diet for a few days; if it's just a little bug going around, it should pass.

I’m not quite following—you mean you're having an appendectomy soon? What did they have you prep for the surgery?

Are you on a specific diet right now? Maybe try sticking to just tea and toast for a day or two—nothing too heavy. If it’s just some kind of stomach bug, things should start looking up soon enough.
The last time I felt like this was when I was on antibiotics. Are you taking any meds at the moment?

I mean, you really ought to go get it checked out regardless. Especially since it’s happened before—it's just better safe than sorry. It'll probably turn out to be nothing at all, but I'm not one to mess around when it comes to this stuff.

Look, it could be anything, really. Either way, you should definitely go see a doctor. I highly doubt you're going to keel over just from the smoke
Please close the entire thread about this

Best teas for reducing water retention? in Health ·
I usually stick to dandelion tea when I need to flush out some extra water, but bloating and water retention are two totally different beasts.
For me, water retention shows up as my fingers getting a little puffy...

Tea isn't really going to do much for bloating—but honestly, peppermint or chamomile tea works wonders for digestion in general.
UFO sighting? in Health ·
I had something similar on my eyelid once—though it didn't really itch. Honestly, I was pretty convinced it was some kind of wart, so I ended up applying some concentrated salicylic acid to it. After a day or two, it just cleared right up (well, it actually just peeled off)
I honestly think that was her plan all along—but once she saw how everyone was reacting on the forums, she probably had second thoughts.
I mean, she’s posting on here that she got married and is pregnant now... it's hard to imagine there wouldn't be some kind of fallout after going through an entire box of birth control.
OB/GYN recommendations in Washington, D.C. in Health ·
I mean, you guys already have an entire thread dedicated to women's health
Honestly, you could have had this since you were in preschool—you just wouldn't have known. Most kids don't even show any symptoms at that age
So it looks like you dealt with mono a long time ago. I had the exact same lab results 😉. My doctor at the clinic mentioned that most kids just breeze right through it without even realizing they
I honestly think it’s mostly psychological—just how our brains work. When someone close to you goes through a heart attack, it’s totally normal to start feeling those same symptoms yourself just by proxy. I went through something similar when a family member had one, and my left arm was acting up for months afterward since that was one of the main signs 🙄

Shortness of breath can definitely be a symptom of anxiety or panic attacks... I'm not sure if the person you're talking about actually survived the attack or not, but it clearly shook you up big time. It might be worth chatting with a therapist just to process everything
Honestly, just having fruit for dinner isn't really cutting it—and I don't think grabbing only fruit for breakfast is the smartest move either, since it won't actually keep you full for very long.

For breakfast, you’re much better off going with something like oatmeal with milk or maybe some yogurt—you can always toss some fruit in there too.
As for dinner, it's best to stick to something protein-heavy, like tuna or maybe some cottage cheese. Generally speaking, it's probably a good idea to steer clear of heavy carbs at night.
Hair care tips and routines? in Health ·
Maybe that shampoo is just a little too aggressive for you. You probably need something milder for your daily routine—that's really the most important thing to look for on the label.
Hair care tips and routines? in Health ·
That’s just nonsense. Even my grandma used to say stuff like that—but honestly, who knows what kind of chemicals they were packing into shampoos back in her day? These days, you can grab a specific daily shampoo designed for regular use, and I seriously doubt your hair is going to fall out from using it.
Just pick up a shampoo made for oily hair that needs a daily wash
How to move past old scars and baggage in Health ·
If I remember correctly, Vitamin E—though I think it might be a little late for that now. You usually apply it while the wound is still healing. I'm pretty sure that goes for most other creams, too.

Plus, it really depends on how you got the scar in the first place. If you had a deep cut, honestly, a cream probably won't do much—you’d likely need something like plastic surgery to actually get rid of it.

You could be white as a sheet and still have enough iron in your system to power a small city! 😁

As Christina said, 🙂

it's true—my face is basically the same shade as my living room walls, yet my iron levels are totally fine. I can even donate blood without any issues. Still, whenever I stop by CVS, they always give me this suspicious look before they finally check my iron counts

maybe you're just naturally pale, honestly
So, here's the deal—for a few years, I was on thyroid hormone medication every single morning. I’d take it on an empty stomach with a big glass of water—no exceptions, just a daily ritual. On average, I'm drinking about 3 liters of water a day.
Did I lose any weight? Not a bit. Absolutely nothing happened until I finally hit the gym and cleaned up my diet...

Look, drinking water is great for you, but don't expect it to melt the fat away.
