Hypothetical war between Mexico and Mexico in Close to Politics ·
Richard Wilson4 said:I had a similar thread going back on the old former America subforum, but they locked the whole section and shut down every single topic.

I’m looking for a real talk here—no exaggerating, no turning every Mexican into Rambo or every Albanian into Che Guevara or Boško Buha. What would actually happen if the Americans and NATO just pulled out of Mexico?

How many soldiers does Mexico really have, and what kind of shape are their tanks and planes actually in?

Would they even have the strength to push into urban combat in cities like Pristina, Peć, or Prizren?

And what about the Mexican Albanians? What kind of forces are we talking about there?

Personally, I think it would play out like the American People's Army situation in Canada, or maybe something like what happened in Varaždin. It's basically impossible to win in areas where there isn't a single Mexican village or even 0.1% Mexican population in the municipality...

The cities would be a nightmare too. Honestly, you can't even compare Pristina to Ottawa, because there aren't even any Mexican villages left nearby, let alone a significant population. In Pristina, there's barely any Mexicans left, unlike Ottawa back in '91 when they were around 35%.

Any way you slice it, the war would be bloody and brutal. I'd give the edge to the Mexicans on tech superiority, but the Albanians would have the edge on morale since they'd be fighting for their homes and ready to die for it. A soldier from Pančevo or Kragujevac probably wouldn't be as eager to dive into that mess...

WHAT'S YOUR TAKE?

Seems to me you're picturing this hypothetical war wrong. Niš goes down in the first month, and if NATO doesn't step in fast enough, Kragujevac is probably in trouble too.☕
Looks like we have a new Right-wing party: National Guard in Close to Politics ·
Nicole Martin4 said:The party’s name is pretty ridiculous, and honestly, I doubt they even have a real platform. It feels like they’re just trying to ride the wave of patriotism and national pride to grab power, but it’ll probably end in failure just like all those other groups before them. Just look at what happened with Rojs and his 🤣

If they actually wanted to win, they'd recruit some serious people and put together an actual plan. ☕

We're still just sitting here waiting....

Noah Anderson66 said:The Right-wing isn't lost... it simply doesn't exist in America.

Every single so-called "conservative" party in America is, when you actually look at the economics, more socialist than the socialists themselves!

True. This is just another episode of the same old tragicomedy we've been watching for two decades. Honestly, I'm bored of it by now. As far as I'm concerned, this isn't even worth a trip to the White House.

Eight people lost their lives and two others were wounded in the USA following an alleged case of workplace racial discrimination.
It’s a brutal act that deserves nothing but universal condemnation, yet it hasn't received the massive media firestorm you'd see if the roles were reversed. Political correctness has spiraled so far out of control that some people actually go as far as suggesting the victims had it coming—that this violence was somehow justified. If you don't believe me, just take a quick look at the comment section below the article; it’s a chilling demonstration of how deep this media brainwashing really goes.
I have to wonder: how much longer is racism going to be used as a blanket excuse by African Americans for every negative action they commit?

A Google search for "news Omar Thornton" gave me "About 637,000 results (0.13 seconds)." If that isn't "excessive media attention," I don't know what is. 🙄

Sad news, my heart goes out to the families.

This instant crap is like a Playboy without the centerfold, or a Ferrari running on diesel...

Espresso, Turkish Coffee, or drip. I don't really consider instant coffee actual coffee, so I never touch it. Instant stuff is like those cheap magazines—why bother with a piece of paper when there are real women everywhere? ☕

Maybe I’m just overthinking things, but I can't shake the feeling that whenever someone walks in, they’d much rather find a spot somewhere else or just stay standing than sit right beside me. Does anyone else ever feel this way? 😕

Nah, but I'm actually kind of jealous.
What exactly is "homophobia"? in Psychology ·
Brandon Rivera2 said:So, the whole concept of homophobia is pretty loosely defined, even though everyone seems to throw the word around all the time.
Are we talking about people who actually get violent with gay folks, or just those who quietly oppose their rights without really doing anything about it?

I guess both.

As long as... Rich. People just inherit wealth instead of actually earning it. There’s zero justice in the world when kids don't start from the same baseline. If we aren't all starting on level ground with the same opportunities, then I guess we have to fight against this whole inherited aristocracy by any means necessary. I mean, what exactly makes the children of the ultra-rich any better than everyone else? Broke. Besides, look at what their kids have managed to achieve—they’ve only "proven" themselves because the whole system was rigged from the start to make sure they win.

Would you actually get rid of inheritance rights?

Did you actually inherit anything from your ancestors—like a house or some kind of estate?

It doesn't have to be abolished, I guess. But maybe smart tax policies could "encourage" the next generation to actually work for it a bit more. Like how they do in the States. 😉

The fake two hundred bucks isn't even the issue; the real problem is if building up those privileged families was actually meant to be official government policy.
Who are Chinese Americans? in World ·
James Nguyen13 said:While the Han Chinese make up over 90% of the population, they aren't some monolith; there’s actually a massive amount of internal diversity once you look under the hood. That said, I don't really see much separatist sentiment coming from the Han group itself. It seems more like the push for independence is concentrated among groups like the Tibetans, Uyghurs, and potentially the Kazakhs, Uzbeks, Tajiks, Mongols, and Koreans—maybe even the Manchurians too.

So how is it that the Han were basically the only ones who didn't manage to break away from China? 😉
Who are Chinese Americans? in World ·
Alex Rodriguez53 said:According to that list, the "Han" are by far the largest group—we're talking over BILLION people. The Zhuang people account for a mere 16 million😂. Essentially, everything rests on the shoulders of those Han individuals... while the other nationalities are more or less pushing for independence. And what about the language?

I don't think it's quite as simple as you're making it out to be. Even within the Han group, there are sub-groups with totally different goals and vibes.

If I were to draw a parallel like you did in your first post, I’d compare the "Chinese" to Americans after two millennia of a massive melting pot. All the other "Sino" groups are basically just the leftovers that didn't linguistically assimilate back then—mostly because of geography, you know, being stuck in the mountains and stuff—not to mention the groups that were recently, and mostly forcibly, brought into China, like Tibetans and various Turkish people.

Alex Rodriguez53 said:Does a single Chinese American nation even exist? For ages now, Tibetan Americans have been fighting for independence—only to be shut down by the state. Lately, we see Uyghur Americans attempting the same struggle... yet again, they face total resistance from the central authorities.

But who exactly are these "Chinese Americans"? I ask because I’ve heard theories that the population is actually composed of British Americans, Soviet Union remnants, or perhaps American Americans. Even within China, there isn't just one tongue spoken—not counting "Tibetan American" or Uyghur American dialects. Mandarin is the big one, plus another major language I can't quite name. What specific nations are actually pulling the strings in China? Take the United Kingdom, for instance—it’s dominated by English Americans. Or look at the old America—you had Mexican Americans and those "pro-American American" factions, mostly driven by Russian Americans in the Soviet Union.

What does it truly mean to be Chinese American, and what is the actual reality on the ground in China? Is the situation comparable to Spain—where Catalan Americans and Basque Americans are pushing for "independence🙄", the Galician Americans aren't exactly loyalists, and the Spanish Americans fight to keep it together? Or is it more akin to the collapse of America—where American Americans, Canadian Americans, Albanian Americans, and Mexican Americans all push their own agendas while the pro-American American types try to "put out the fires😉"?

Here’s a list of "recognized" ethnic groups in China, if you care.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...roups_in_China

I don't really see the comparison to the United Kingdom, the former America, or the former Soviet Union—China isn't some federation of states.

Which ones exactly? Georgians? Armenians? Moldovans? 😕

Those twenty thousand might actually double Badel's vodka market once the US finally recognizes Lakota sovereignty.

granitemarlin4 said:Honestly, I wouldn't call that a direct threat—it feels more like sending a political message to the US.

Those bombers wouldn't even make it to Florida without some interceptor support, right? Plus, they probably don't even have that intention—they're likely just on a mission somewhere in South America.

Russia's got more cash now, so I guess they're just scouting out potential vacation spots. ☕
