Caught this one on Broadway today, and honestly? It was great. There’s a touch of melodrama in there, but if you just lean into the vibe, you won't even notice it...
The character development is spot on. You can really feel the arc as things unfold, with everyone becoming increasingly layered and complex as the story progresses...
In my opinion, Josh Peck (George) absolutely carries the weight of this movie; without him, it wouldn't be half as good. The same goes for Scott Mechlowicz (Marty), too...
Solid performances all around... 🙏
I’ll admit I was a little skeptical at first because the setup felt a bit naive, but the movie just kept getting better and better as it reached the finish line...
Highly recommend giving this a watch, it's a fantastic film... 👍

The Coefficient for this game is now:>
Real Madrid - Real Sociedad 1.00 1.00 1.00
Basically, it's a BET VOID (voided bet)
Look, I'm not even complaining... Real Madrid was the last leg on my parlay for $167 and I’m already cursing my luck. If I had just played it safe with Figo & Co. before everything went south and they called a timeout... 🙂
Mark Hughes36 said:I don't buy it. There's no way they play for less than two and a half hours. It's just how they operate. It's in their DNA. And honestly? If the crowd brings the energy, we could be looking at multiple encores. 😉
😲
Man... two and a half hours?!
That’s longer than the entire set from Iron Maiden + Murderdolls last year...
If they actually pull off a marathon like that, mad respect. 🙏 🙏
Anyone know if there are still tickets left for Metallica? Or did they already sell out completely?
Also, does anyone have any intel on who’s opening for them? Are they bringing their usual tour support, or is it going to be some local American bands?
Honestly, back when the CLA first kicked off, I was actually pulling for Porto more than Monaco. But lately, Monaco has totally won me over, mostly because Porto completely soured on me during that match against Deportivo....
To be fair, it wasn't even their style of play that did it—it was the blatant unsportsmanlike behavior from some of those players.... 👎
Monaco takes the title..... and Pršo walks away as the top scorer in the final...... 👍 🙏

👍 Such a killer cover piece...
I remember hearing there was some massive drama surrounding that artwork when they were prepping the release. Apparently, there was a whole thing where they were practically forbidden from putting the album out with that specific cover, or something along those lines...
But hey, he went ahead and used it anyway. 😁
It’s actually pretty solid compared to Mechanical Animals—you know, that one in the blue box with zero titles or text... just the image of Omega staring back at you.
And honestly, the booklet is incredibly well thought out. The level of detail in it is just insane. 😲 🙏

Man, I finally need to go out and grab that absolute pile of garbage that is St. Anger. 😁
I just saw it too... kind of looks like a Murderdolls/Iron Maiden mashup again... though honestly, I'll take whatever I can get. 😁
And have you guys actually looked at this tour schedule? On the 15th they’re hitting New York City, and instead of just swinging by our way, they’re trekking through Germany, Switzerland, Spain, the Netherlands, France, and then all the way to Ireland (!!!) before finally showing up here on the 27th...
Great, now I’m gonna have to shell out cash for this too... just wait until prices spike to something like $250 per $100. Who on earth is actually going to scrape that much together?
But hey, I guess we don't really have a choice... you gotta go for it. 🙂
The absolute highlight for me was that bit where those two guys keep messing with Tom Hanks, acting like he’s this super stiff, uptight guy who can't loosen up. So then, just to prove them wrong and show he actually has a sense of humor, he offers to tell a joke... and then Tom Hanks: 'Knock, knock.' Them: 'Who's there?' Tom Hanks (struggling to find an actual punchline): 'Ah, GO FUCK YOURSELVES!'
It’s pretty funny how the group of teams with the absolute longest odds to win the CLA in the betting shops hasn't uttered a single word in this thread... 😁

..and I’m not lucky enough to have a boyfriend who just goes out and kills them for me.. because my guy refuses to hurt anything, even after I spend half an hour badgering him to finally do it.. by then, the spider has already moved to a completely different zip code😁 so he just grabs a napkin and carries it all the way to the window. Then I start overthinking and worry it might have fallen or something.. god, I hate them.. killing them with a vacuum is probably the only acceptable way.. I remember being at a beach house once where there was one so big I wouldn't have dared touch it even if I wanted to😁
..and honestly, it's not even about "getting over" the fear.. I just find them fundamentally revolting. Maybe they feel the same about us, though I doubt it.. It's true what they say, though—they always seem to show up right when you're most terrified. I actually had a nightmare once while exploring a coastal island with my boyfriend, thinking one was lurking somewhere nearby.😁
I’m the same way; all bugs gross me out... especially spiders... actually, it's more pure fear than just being disgusted.......
Whenever a bug flies into my room, I’m basically reaching for the heavy artillery to take it out...... one time I actually refused to sleep in my own bedroom because I was convinced there was a bug in there (even though I hadn't actually seen anything)......
I just can't wrap my head around the idea of something flying around near me that could potentially crawl into my ear, nose, mouth, or any other orifice....😱 😁
Honestly, you could skip the first hour of this movie without missing much at all; the whole setup can basically be boiled down to two sentences...
The rest of the film picks up a little bit, but it doesn't really fix the vibe, and ultimately, you're left feeling like the movie is just plain bad...
That said, if you're a die-hard comic book nerd, you'll probably get a kick out of it...
Personally, I wasn't feeling it, even though there were a few decent scenes scattered in there...
