I'm actually going to try and download it now.😬

One of my crazy friends actually picked up a Dead or Alive DVD collection on a whim, just because they had this newer version of the 'You Spin Me Round' video where Pete looks absolutely unrecognizable—like he’s had so much filler and lip surgery he basically looks like a woman now.😁I honestly lost it laughing when I saw it.😂It’s worth a watch, really, if only for the sheer comedy, the pure horror of it all, or just to witness the peak of human stupidity.😂
Karen Flores34 said:Has anyone actually sat down and watched the music video for Dead or Alive's "You Spin Me Round"?
Honestly, that’s easily the absolute worst spot I’ve ever seen.

Honestly, it’s so incredibly bad that it actually makes me laugh until I cry, which just means I end up watching the whole thing with absolute relish.
What can I even do? At the end of the day, good trash is still good trash.
Honestly, there’s just nothing quite like a solid piece of trash cinema.
😁

I was actually thinking the exact same thing. Honestly, if we’re being real, I’d go a step further and say that Dead or Alive produced some of the absolute worst music videos in history. It’s getting to the point where I genuinely feel like Pete Burns might be secretly killing himself just to escape the memory of those visuals. 😂

The movie was actually pretty solid, and honestly, it makes sense that they trimmed a lot of the fat to focus on the core plot. The special effects were top-notch, though I found myself laughing through most of it rather than feeling the dark atmosphere—the dialogue is just ridiculously funny. 😂 Our whole group was basically cracking up in the theater the entire time. 😂

I honestly have no idea how anyone could actually drift off while watching that movie 🙄 🙄 🙄

Just stepped out of the theater—this is hands down the BEST Burton film yet, and honestly, Depp is just adorable 😍
Pink Flamingos in Movies ·
It’s been so long since this was posted that I honestly can’t recall what the original thread title even was. It doesn't really matter, though—I managed to find 😉

Look, I actually started a thread about this movie a few months back. I’m pretty sure it’s still floating around somewhere on this sub, we just need to dig a little deeper to find it. Only a handful of people have actually chimed in saying they've seen it.
I've lost count of how many times I've watched it 😍 🤣 😂

You can just grab it on Amazon without any hassle; it usually comes bundled with another John Waters flick called Female Trouble, which is also 😍 😂 🤣 and features Divine 😁

p.s. Found it! Here's the link

Beyond a Reasonable Doubt - I watched this one on Netflix a long time ago 🙏 🙏 🙏 K. Spacey was absolutely incredible in this, and honestly, the story itself is just fantastic

That guy looks absolutely incredible in a corset and stilettos 😁

Down here, they’ve been screening The Rocky Horror Picture Show at our local outdoor cinema for three summers straight now, and honestly, I never miss a single showing. 😛

quietdriver3 said:Yeah, I've heard that before—apparently, catching a movie at the theater is one of those total out-of-body experiences. 😁

aha Quote 🤣

quietdriver3 said:It’s all just a mess—rice flying everywhere, donuts taking flight, and everyone talking over one another like nobody’s actually listening to anyone else.

That’s definitely going on my to-do list.

You also managed to forget the newspapers, the confetti, the toilet paper, and even the water guns. 🤣

Movies are just better when you get to experience them in a theater where the crowd actually gets involved 🙏 🙏 🙏 I’ve already lost my mind like that three times watching screenings with a wild audience 👍 👍 👍 🤣
Jacob's Ladder in Movies ·
I wouldn't even label that movie a horror; it feels more like an intense psychological drama to me. Personally, I found it incredibly heavy to sit through. It’s definitely a good film, but you really have to be in the right headspace for it.

I’d be just as blindsided as anyone else if they actually greenlit Alien 5, especially considering how recently we all sat through that entire Quadrilogy. It honestly feels like a lot to process right now.

Richard Hernandez13 said:Ridley Scott mentioned that he’d actually be open to directing an Alien 4, provided someone could come along and write a decent script.

I guess you mean the fifth one, right?
The Cut in Movies ·
Ryan just doesn't work for me in this kind of role, and honestly, I'm pretty disappointed that Champion decided to go with this specific genre 👎 If someone else had been behind the director's chair, I might have actually given it a chance, but not really.

As for that blow job scene, it doesn't even try to look natural; it just screams fake with that 62 miles.

It’s such a quintessential Cameron-style tech-noir.

...or take Flirting with Disaster by David O. Russell, which I happened to revisit a couple of weeks ago. It’s an absolute little masterpiece. Just damn well written and executed. It really makes you think about how easy it would be to pull off a comedy like that, when in reality, it’s actually the exact opposite.

I even walked away feeling like Ben Stiller could have been the Woody Allen of my generation. 😁

I’m with both of you on this! I watched Flirting with Disaster on DVD just about a week ago—I was absolutely dying laughing. That poor guy Stiller is always playing some kind of total loser.😂

Anderson said:I was just scrolling through the web when I stumbled upon this list, and honestly, I think it’s actually worth taking a look at— Top 100 Overlooked Films of the 1990sLooking back at the few titles from that list I've actually sat down to watch, I can't help but feel like there's some serious potential left on the table. Even with just a handful of them under my belt, it’s pretty clear that many of these could have been absolute gems if they'd gotten the right kind of traction.

P.S. And this was all curated by some pretty high-brow company, if you can believe it. Critics Choice Awards There’s also an American contributor, Dragan Antulov—he actually writes in English too—who used to collaborate with that project back when it was temporarily shuttered down. film.monitor.usDragan has churned out an incredible amount of serious reviews—probably a thousand or so since we last spoke—and you can find them all published over on... film.purger.com. 🙏

Total disaster.

I’ve checked off quite a few titles from this list, though I won't go through them one by one because we'd be here forever. That said, I really can't recommend Heavenly Creatures enough—it's definitely worth your time. 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 It's sitting right there at number five on the list.
Paintballing! in Other Sports ·
The issue I run into is that once someone takes a hit too hard, they suddenly lose all interest in ever playing Paintball again 😢. Then you've got the older crowd complaining about the blue bruises left behind by the pellets 😢, and there are people who just aren't willing to deal with even a tiny bit of physical discomfort in exchange for having an absolute blast 🙄. I remember one time I spent a record-breaking three months just trying to round up enough people for a single game of Paintball 🙄

I actually picked up a copy of that movie ages ago. Honestly, I’m probably due for a rewatch at this point. 😉
