Hangover cures? in Health ·
Grab a beer, a glass of wine, or whatever else you were sipping on last night. It actually works.
Best cough remedies? in Health ·
I finally kicked my cough by using some honey mixed with sage.
Anyone tried Aknemycin emulsion? in Health ·

I think I know which dermatologist you saw.
When I was using that cream, my skin was a total disaster (not saying it's perfect now, just better), so I can't be objective here.
Maybe it works... You typically use it for about 12 weeks. It might take a month or two before you actually see any progress.
I didn't have the patience... I needed something that would fix my face faster.
As someone already mentioned, the main ingredient is 1% Erythromycin.
The cream should help calm down the inflammation.

Combining Differin and Skinoren could be a solid move.
But when your skin is trashed, everything feels painfully slow and useless.

Right when I gave up on all those expensive products I wasted a fortune on, two massive cysts popped up right in the middle of my face😠 so I went to see a dermatologist. She told me to start Accutane (that's how you spell it, right?). I haven't started yet because I need blood work first—and the thought of a needle in my vein😲... just stick me anywhere else, please.😬 On top of that, along with some Aknemycin, she gave me this huge pile of creams and gels (for brightening—I have to admit, the cream is actually pretty good... and it's probably better if it stays $67 effective😬), sunscreen, and various other stuff. So yeah, there goes more money down the drain.
My breakouts aren't constant, let's just say🙄. They show up rarely, but when they do, they linger forever and look hideous. Honestly, it makes me want to scratch them off or just hide my whole face🙂. I wish there was something that worked overnight!

My dermatologist told me to apply it once a day until my next appointment in about a month. Then we’ll see how things are looking and decide if I should stick with it or quit.

Karen Myers4, thanks for the tip!

Scott Allen10, from what I can tell, the main ingredient is Erythromycin. Hopefully someone else chimes in soon to give me the full rundown.

My dermatologist recommended this Aknemicin stuff to me. I actually thought it was just a toner, so I didn't bother asking how to use it—I just assumed. She told me to apply it at night, and honestly, it was a struggle just to track it down at the CVS. To make matters worse, the instructions are only in German, which isn't exactly helpful for me. If anyone here has used this emulsion before, I’d really appreciate some insight. Does it actually work? How exactly am I supposed to apply it? Is it worth the hassle?

thanks
Hair washing tips? in Health ·
I spent some time washing my hair every single day just to see what would happen... even with high-end products, it started thinning out and getting greasy way too fast, so that was a total bust. Now I stick to twice a week max. Honestly, for most people, that's plenty.
Personally, I don't think daily washing is healthy at all. Like someone mentioned, you end up messing with your oil glands and your hair just ends up bone dry.
But hey, everyone can do whatever they want.
Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime in Music ·
They’re easily one of my all-time favorite bands. Their absolute peak was Operation Mindcrime and Empire, even if they started leaning a bit too commercial around the Tribe era. Honestly, I still dig the stuff they did before Operation Mindcrime, too.
Anyway, Operation Mindcrime is an undisputed classic. My Empty Room, Revolution Calling, INTO The EYES of The Stranger, I Don't Believe in Love... man, they just nailed it!

But only if the water is murky and I can't see the bottom. I start spiraling, thinking something's going to grab me or something... even in a pool with five people in it.
The thing is, I'm not afraid of drowning. It's the seaweed and the jellyfish that get me.😬

That’s why I stick to sandy beaches. If I feel even a tiny bit of seagrass brush against my toe, I'm out. It sounds ridiculous when you say it out loud, but experiencing it? Pure nightmare.

Honestly, people are unbelievable.
I haven't heard anyone mention being afraid of lakes or anything, but being near those waters is genuinely tough for me. Even if it sounds weird, whenever I'm at the beach, I stick strictly to the sand because I need to see what's under my feet. It's a phobia, plain and simple. And believe me, living with it isn't easy—especially when you're surrounded by people who think you're just making stuff up for attention.
Phobias... in Health ·
I’ve got a massive phobia of lakes, rivers, or even just a swamp... my head starts spinning, I can't catch my breath, and my chest tightens up. Plus, heights kill me too. Everything goes blurry and I get that sickening feeling like something is pulling me straight down... brrr.

To sleep with or without a pillow? in Health ·
I’ve always slept without a pillow.
Ever since I was a kid, I’ve pushed pillows away just to get some breathing room.
I tried using one a few times, but it’s useless—it just feels suffocating and keeps me tossing and turning. Meanwhile, my neck and spine feel absolutely wrecked every morning.
I used to date this guy who couldn't stand my taste in music. It wasn't just the genres; he hated how much I actually cared about it. I’d go on and on about bands and upcoming shows, but he wouldn't step foot in a venue even if I handed him a front-row pass for free. He spent half our relationship trashing my playlists, mocking my friends because they shared my taste, and basically looking down on everything that made me tick.
I didn't stick around to take it.😁
It happened, then it was over. What's next?
Stipe mentioned he’d throw us a free concert once in a while.😁
I was fine with it. I hung out, grabbed a drink, messed around, met some people, listened to some terrible bands, and called it a night.
By the second year, I was right there in the front row.👍
The Beatles in Music ·
Ugh, The Beatles👍
Not a single album of theirs stands out as a favorite, nor is there one specific song I can call my own. It’s just that, generally speaking, I like them as a band.

Anyone used a bioptron lamp? in Health ·
I have one.
My brother used it for his headaches—he gets them all the time—and it actually helped. They started getting less intense and happened much less often.
My mom uses the lamp for her knee pain, and I use it for acne breakouts and scarring. It works. I don't always remember to use it because, frankly, I'm lazy, but back when my skin was a total disaster, I used it twice a day for about two weeks straight and it made a massive difference.
White Chicks in Movies ·
The movie was mediocre... nothing special.
The only good one I saw was that one starring the Black actor dressed up as a white woman.
The Grudge (2004) in Movies ·
I watched my version. It’s way better than The Ring. Honestly, The Ring was kind of a bore. And the sequel? Forget about it.
