well, look, if you think about it 🙂 the ones that were already built just sit there untouched until someone actually tries to go in and mess with them, and that’s when all those settings finally kick in and start making an impact
So, look, let's say you're hanging out on a forum and you eventually hit that point where you want to ask something or dive into a topic that’s just plain awkward because people you actually know might see it, or maybe someone from your real life happens to recognize your handle... you just go ahead and spin up a brand-new account, and with that clean slate, you can tackle whatever’s bothering you, vent about your wildest fantasies, or just whatever else is on your mind.
there isn't even a hint of hate speech or anyone being hassled here I mean, look, if someone is clearly struggling or just out of sorts, they could have turned to Zen Buddhism for all I care and ended up thinking the exact same thing
Look, you can have multiple accounts, sure, but don't think for a second you can use them to double down on the same thread or act out in ways that aren't appropriate for this place, and for heaven's sake, don't even bother posting while any of those linked accounts are currently under a ban If you try to jump back into the same discussion using a different account, one of you is getting hit with a permanent ban and the other gets a seven-day timeout

It’s like the moderation team was personally trained by Maximus’s Secretary of the Treasury or something. Just total bureaucratic overkill. 🙂
just out here sharing what we've got 🙂 I honestly didn't think people would get this worked up—fine, here's my own little red card for the road.

The thread is titled "Photos of your apartments, furniture, and little household knick-knacks...", not "a thread for insults, provocation, belittling, and calling people idiots... . If I actually wanted advice or someone's unsolicited opinion (which I don't), I would have posted my place in the "home decor advice" thread. Whatever.
Nobody has the right to call you an idiot, sure, but if you're acting like one right here, then it's perfectly fair for someone to tell you that you're acting like a fool. It's just basic logic; if you decorated your house to look like a neon-green candy shop, people are going to tell you it looks like a green candy shop. If you can't wrap your head around that and you just want to keep pushing your agenda, go ahead, keep doing it, and the site moderators will step in and handle their business when they need to.
Personally, I’d say they’re well within their rights, because honestly, I have just as much right to claim a car looks like a literal box, or that a house looks like some fortified bunker or a cheap motel, or even that a coat looks like a glorified potato sack...
granitemarlin77, give me a break Nobody’s actually impressed by your house, and even if you did manage to snap some decent photos, you really should have expected that not everyone would be showering you with endless praise If someone looks at what you built and decides they don't like it—and then says exactly that—what are you going to do about it? Are you planning on banning people just because they have an opinion that doesn't stroke your ego? The truth is, if anyone acted shady or low-class here, it was you, so maybe an honest person would just shut their mouth and take the criticism gracefully And let's be real, this isn't the first time you've pulled these little stunts, so please, spare us the act where you pretend to be some innocent victim or a saint You might want to think about how pathetic it looks to have to drag a clone along just to brag about your place, because it says everything anyone needs to know about your character
Look, it’s pretty clear they don't care about anyone's credentials or where you came from, and honestly, playing lawyer is more than enough reason to get you banned here Tudum got slapped with a permanent ban
Look, everyone knows you don't just throw dry beans in there. You use the canned stuff, right? The kind already sitting in liquid... those won't swell up on you. 😉
I feel like I’m constantly telling the mods the same thing, but they just seem to tune me out every single time Every time someone decides to dump 503 or 504 grains into the mix, we end up right back here dealing with the fallout
Ondine, look, this isn't actually about you personally, it’s more about the structure of the subforum and the specific threads being run here. Everyone’s got their own angle—you have your reasons, someone else has theirs, and then there's a third person with a completely different perspective altogether... Since your post hasn't been nuked from orbit, I’d go as far as to say the moderator actually took into account the fact that you aren't some habitual troublemaker or a constant agitator on these boards.
The way Tupelo manages things works incredibly well, honestly, it benefits everyone who either just lurks or actually gets involved in the "Life as a Couple" section. If she weren't so damn diligent about the rules, we’d all be sitting here reading endless complaints about how the subforum is a total mess and how impossible it is to have a civilized conversation.
Jamie Chase6, honestly, it feels like we haven’t had a single discussion lately where someone doesn't immediately jump down another person's throat and label them a troll, and frankly, it’s getting pretty exhausting Furthermore, the mods seem to be stuck in this loop where they’ll go out of their way to scrub posts containing actual private info or stuff that clearly has no business being on a forum like this, yet they'll selectively delete anything even remotely questionable while leaving the rest alone much like how some people play favorites At the end of the day, the person writing the post is the one who needs to take responsibility for what they decide to put out there
A bit of a generalization here, I suppose there are certain types of people out there who simply lack the capacity to grasp that someone might be struggling with issues that aren't immediately obvious to the naked eye, yet on the flip side, you have those who will seize upon any issue—whether it’s a genuine struggle or something they've cooked up entirely out of thin air—to try and capitalize on it at every single opportunity so, frankly, I’m worried we’re just going to keep circling back to how we solve these things on an individual basis rather than actually addressing the root
