I think banderas is spot on and that everyone is overthinking this way too much. 😁 There’s no grand cosmic mystery to solve here, no searching for the meaning of life or whatever: look, we all come here because we love music (and if you don't, I genuinely have to ask what the hell you're even doing on this subforum), and some people just happen to love playing instruments. Maybe they lack the spark or the raw ambition to write their own stuff, but they love jamming out to their favorite band's hits. What's the harm in that? Instead of just messing around in a garage, they take it to a stage, play for a crowd, and everyone has a blast. Is that really such a crime? 🤷

It’s just not right when a mod or an Admin talks to a user like they're total trash, almost like they're just baiting a reaction so they can slap them with an infraction. I don't really care about getting an infraction myself, but the way they treat people on this forum is genuinely messed up.

Honestly, why don't you and Michael Collins just start your own thread titled "What to be SF?" and stop acting like paratroopers dropping into every single discussion just to scream, "THAT ISN'T SCIENCE FICTION!!!1111" at everyone. If you did that, the users (and the mods) would finally stop telling you to shut up. If you're trying to report a specific post, just start your own thread over in this section, drop the links to the posts you're complaining about, or just shoot a direct message to one of the admins.
