And now they drop a five-goal game against Sweden? Sweden consistently puts up solid numbers at these championships, playing like they’ve been the dominant force for a decade. 🙏

Off the top of my head, I can recall three things:

The White Stripes — Seven Nation Army
The Fratellis. "Chelsea Dagger." It’s one of those tracks that just refuses to stay in the background. You hear that opening riff and suddenly everything feels a bit more kinetic, even if it's just in your head. There's a certain grit to it—not polished, not overproduced—just raw energy that hits you right in the chest. It’s got that anthemic quality that makes you want to grab a drink and forget about whatever nonsense is happening in the news today. Honestly, some songs just possess an inherent momentum that others spend their whole existence trying to fake. This one doesn't have to try. It just is.

Look, lady, this whole post says a lot about how you view the greatest sport on the planet. And let’s be clear—part of the reason soccer is king is because of those 0-0 draws. There isn't another game in existence where a single goal is celebrated with more intensity than in soccer. Would the sport actually be better if every single match ended 3-3, 4-4, or some wild 5-6 scoreline? Not even close. It would suck. It would lose the very essence and allure that made it what it is today. That grueling, ninety-minute chase for the ball that ends in a scoreless deadlock can be infinitely more gripping than some high-scoring handball game ending 36-30. That's just the reality of it. If you aren't ready to accept that, maybe it’s best if you just steer clear of this subforum entirely.

I’ve never had an issue with folk music enthusiasts, honestly. It wasn't a problem until they started crowding onto the subway alongside those kids who feel some divine calling to broadcast their terrible taste to the entire car by cranking up their MP3 players or iPods. So, that whole argument of "if you don't like it, don't listen to it" is complete nonsense when it's being blasted in public spaces. I sometimes wonder if these people realize how incredibly unrefined they come across. Every time I run into someone acting like that, I just offer a quiet prayer of thanks to the universe that I didn't turn out like them. 🙏
