Your results look perfectly fine to me; those numbers can sometimes dip just a little below what that specific lab sets as their standard range.

Hey, just a heads up—please try not to double up on posts by starting the same thread twice.
So, what did the MRI show? Any signs of lesions in there?

I really hope your friend pulls through this...
It looks like it's cervical stenosis. That basically means there’s some compression happening in your upper spine...

Honestly, that doesn't sound great at all. We really can't give you much more info without seeing the specific details from the report...

Come on, fellow mods, you really scared the life out of her... She’s probably perfectly fine. You guys jumped straight to the worst-case scenario without even thinking...
Wounds and their aftermath in Health ·
I wouldn't bother covering that up with any heavy bandages, honestly. You want to let it breathe so it dries out faster. Since the wound is still pretty moist at this stage, just stick to an antiseptic for now. Later on, once it settles, you can switch to a moisturizing cream to help prevent scarring—maybe ask the pharmacist for a recommendation. You could even try some old-school home remedies like calendula ointment if you want...
Props to everyone who's obsessed with fruit, but honestly? I'm definitely more of a veggie person.

I feel like you can never eat enough fruit, though most of the time it just gives me terrible acid reflux, and to make matters worse, I'm allergic to about 70% of it! Even when I can actually eat it, it’s not even my favorite... I'll take a juicy tomato over some messy peach any day, especially since peaches always leave your hands all sticky and gross.
I’m pulling about 12-hour shifts, and a huge chunk of my job is pretty physically demanding. By the time I’m done, I am absolutely wiped out—not exactly in the best shape, either. I’ve definitely been putting on a little extra weight and my lower back is constantly killing me. My schedule usually runs from 10 AM to 8 PM, sometimes even later... so when am I even supposed to squeeze in a workout? I live for the weekend, but honestly, I usually just head straight to the coast for some scuba diving because I desperately need to decompress...

I actually feel lucky that there are more people in my situation lately. It hasn't been easy on them, either, and they end up having to hire me to help get them back in enough shape to keep up with their own jobs.😁

You should definitely ask your doctor for a referral to an internal medicine specialist just to get a closer look at your abdominal aorta and make sure everything is looking okay...
It’s honestly no surprise when we look at how much of the bad stuff we pick up from overseas. I’m mostly talking about those European-style work schedules—all that unpaid overtime, having zero free time left to actually go outside or exercise, and prices spiraling so high that the average American is forced to settle for cheap, junk food...

The cost of living is hitting us with those massive international price hikes, but wages are still stuck in the past. Forget an eight-hour workday; people are pulling twelve-hour shifts now. So, sure, "go relax" or "cook a healthy meal." The average American just can't make that happen. Because of that, we’re looking at a massive obesity epidemic on our hands. And given the state of our healthcare system—not to mention all the new illnesses that come from eating garbage and being sedentary—things are really going to go south, fast...

Anyone posting about urine therapy can please just move over to Reddit.

As for those who want to try treating themselves with urine—look, do whatever you want, it’s your body. But drinking it long-term probably isn't the healthiest move. Honestly, I think there are wayyy better ways to deal with a headache...

If I hear one more person describe urination in such an offensive way, I might actually have to start using some moderator tools.
Drink a liter of lukewarm Magellan and get moving a bit—guaranteed to have you sprinting to the restroom 😁
Urine and acne: Does it actually work? in Health ·
Her face isn't going to get infected just because of this; if there aren't bacteria in her urine, she should be fine—and honestly, healthy people shouldn't have any issues there anyway. Besides, hormonal imbalances don't just trigger acne; they can cause all sorts of other problems too. It really comes down to priorities... what matters most to you in the long run?

Maybe try talking to a certified nutritionist to see if you can manage things through your diet. But I have to say, if it's PCOS, I'm worried that taking oral contraceptives might actually be the lesser of two evils...
Urine and acne: Does it actually work? in Health ·
Maybe you should get your hormones checked to see if it might be PCOS?

I'd suggest starting with a dermatologist, then maybe an OB-GYN, and eventually an endocrinologist... if they can actually get you in on the schedule... and if that doesn't work... I guess you could try a urine test, though there are probably much better ways to go about it...
Oh, come on, don't even worry about it. Honestly, I'd much rather deal with a normal day than be out there losing my mind, hyperventilating, and dealing with all that chaos. I totally get where you're coming from. Sadly, I have a feeling even a whole warehouse wouldn't be enough space for me...
Far from a doctor in Health ·
When I was taking malaria prophylaxis for six weeks, even just having two beers made me feel absolutely terrible. Those pills were brutal... anything greasy I ate just sat wrong in my stomach.
Far from a doctor in Health ·
Look, those malaria meds could really take a toll on your liver. It’s definitely not like taking a Vitamin C supplement. You should probably check back in with your doctor about the whole malaria situation... As for two beers? That's hardly a challenge...
X-ray height measurement: Any advice? in Health ·
Yeah, you could probably spot that on an X-ray of the hand, but I’ve never heard of anyone doing that routinely unless there was a specific request for it. But honestly, does it even matter that much?

"We really need some help for a dear friend 😉
Hi everyone,

I honestly feel like we could all support one another much better if someone just gave us a little nudge—if they showed us, guided us, and gave us specific, concrete ways to actually help. Well, here is an opportunity for everyone:

My friend Branka is battling Hodgkin lymphoma.

She’s been fighting this disease for five years now, dealing with all the ups and downs that come with it.

She has gone through several different chemotherapy protocols, an autologous stem cell transplant, and even an allogeneic bone marrow transplant from her brother. Her immune system is pretty compromised at this point. Lately, they tried some chemo treatments that ended up doing more harm than good.

That doesn't mean Branka is giving up; it just means she can't handle those aggressive therapies anymore.

Right now, she needs a medication called Revlimid. Medicare won't cover the costs because it’s still considered to be in an experimental phase—it’s one of those newer "smart" drugs, and using it would spare her the toxicity of more new chemo protocols.

And here is where I run into trouble: one box costs $7,000. She needs four boxes. The manufacturer has promised to donate two, but she has to purchase the other two herself.

Branka's account number at JP Morgan Chase is: 2340009-3101069429. For the transfer, you'll need these details: Branka Punda, Podglavica 14, Miami. For the payment reference, just use the date of the transfer, for example, 0622.

I am asking anyone who is able to please help out.

And if you feel like you can't contribute, please just forward this email...

Please understand that even the smallest amount makes a huge difference!!! Thank you!"
