Zeljezničar - Abortion in America - harassment and trolling in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Just a quick heads-up on the ZK rules. Generally speaking, ZK is pretty chill—it’s lightly moderated, so we don't really go after you unless things get straight-up abusive, which honestly doesn't happen much in these threads anyway. We're okay with a bit of trolling too, as long as it doesn't derail the whole conversation. Some specific threads might have stricter moderation policies, but if that's the case, it'll be clearly stated in the opening post, and you're totally welcome to voice your frustrations about those posts there.

Other than that, the standard procedure is to just hit that report button first. Give the mods at least a day to look into it, and if you haven't heard anything back by then, feel free to head over to the PZK.

Man, this is such a massive topic to dive into. You really need to go back and give that opening post a thorough read first.

I honestly don't know. I actually went ahead and asked about it, but I haven't gotten a definitive answer just yet.

5? I think it should actually be 20.

If you happen to know about any threads that have been destroyed by those clone troll armies, please drop the links here.

As far as I'm concerned, everything a clone or troll writes—and every single argument they trigger—should be aggressively deleted. Otherwise, quality just vanishes. ☕ (No need for examples... every thread lately is filled with people talking trash because clones have gone wild 😁 )
How would it "damage the thread" if most of these clones get banned after only 10 posts anyway?!
A few irrelevant troll posts getting wiped out (along with maybe a couple of posts from actual users) is going to "ruin the thread"?!

Are you being serious or just joking?? 🙂

So what, we only delete the branch of an argument the moderator personally dislikes, but leave the branch (which is just as bad as anything else from that permanently banned troll) that the mod actually likes?! 🤦

Saying something is "even more unfair" is really just throwing out a bunch of accusations without actually backing them up. It’s basically becoming a permanent resident on the ban list without even bothering to read the community guidelines first.

Well, sometimes quality is lost, and sometimes it isn't. At the end of the day, it's up to the moderators to judge what stays and what goes. Just feel free to report whatever is bothering you; hey, maybe something will slip through the cracks once in a while.

Hey, back me up with some links here; otherwise, you’re just breaking the PDF rules.

When dealing with clones, we don't necessarily have to wipe out every single one of their posts—sometimes doing that would just end up wrecking the whole thread.
How do I upload images and videos to the forum? in Forum Help! ·
Sophia Ramirez said:http://www.hdwallpapers.in/walls/pix..._wide-wide.jpg

I realize the file size is probably excessive, but I simply wanted to see if I could manage uploading an HD image here.

Look, if you already know it's going to be massive, then don't post it! It ends up stretching the whole page out and makes everything look messy. Just pick a smaller one next time.
Makes sense... right? in Forum Help! ·
jadetrucker43 said:You don't even have grounds to appeal. 😛

Actually, you absolutely have the right to file an appeal. wanderingheron52, if you want to take this up, just shoot a private message over to the site administration—you can reach out to any of the moderators, the supermod, or the admin directly.

Yeah, honestly, I feel like the exact same thing applies to them too.

I’m really hoping it won't take more than a few weeks, though I can't give you a pinpoint date since there are just so many moving parts involved.

Sophia Hill22 said:Sure thing, there are plenty more out there—these are just a few examples:

Just so you know, the threads linked above are currently being cleaned up. We ran into some major issues with Google lately, so we had to temporarily pull several large, locked threads while we go through them all. Since there’s quite a mountain of work ahead of us, it might take a little while, but most of them will be back up soon. As for these specific ones, I'm pretty sure they'll all be restored.

Hey, could you drop a link to the specific thread where this is happening, and maybe also point me toward the thread where the link itself is actually sitting?
Hidden logins? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Jack Cook7 said:I totally get it. Honestly, I might have actually created my "Jack Cook7" account back in the day, and it’s been stuck in limbo for five years now.

If everyone else is just as clumsy as I am, we’re probably looking at tens of thousands of usernames just sitting there in digital purgatory, waiting for an activation email that’s never gonna show up.

Just a thought—maybe when someone signs up, there could be a reasonable deadline, like maybe 7 days? If they don't activate within that window, the system could just automatically clear them out.

Thanks!

Thanks for the input! We’re actually planning on cleaning up that whole cluster of inactive accounts, so we'll definitely be putting something in place soon.

By the way, if you were eyeing one of those variations of this username that’s currently unavailable, or if there was a specific version you had in mind but didn't quite finish setting up, feel free to shoot me a DM. I can check the availability for you and maybe we can work some magic to make it happen.
Hidden logins? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
They aren't actually "hidden," it's just that there are users out there who don't bother finishing the full registration process. They either skip confirming their account through the link sent to their email, or they just get stuck somewhere along the way. Even so, that username stays "pending"—it’s basically reserved and taken up—but you won't see them on the official member list because, for those reasons, they haven't officially joined the registered group yet.
What a joke. in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Look, we aren't trying to turn this place into some sterile, sanitized wasteland, but there are definitely lines you shouldn't cross. Direct insults aimed at another member? That’s a hard no—absolutely forbidden. Everything else really just comes down to the context of the conversation. For instance, over in the football threads, things are a bit more relaxed; as long as you aren't throwing profanity directly in someone's face, most of that stuff is allowed to slide.

is there any way to change irmo leclark to Irmaleclark? 🙂😉

Thanks in advance if this is possible!

Wouldn't it be better to just keep the space so it reads as Irma Leclark? 🙂 It's way easier to pronounce and honestly fits the vibe of this forum much better.
Can't see the Movie subforum in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Oh man, I am totally feeling that! Just one little word and you can practically hear the nervous energy through the screen. Don't worry, we've all been there—that sudden, heart-skipping moment where everything just feels a bit much. What's got you feeling this way? I'm all ears if you want to vent! kaže:
I honestly don't even know where to start with this one, but I feel like we need to have a real conversation about it. It’s one of those topics that just keeps coming up, isn't it? Every time I think we've moved past the initial shock of how things are shifting, something else pops up to remind us that the landscape is changing faster than any of us expected. It’s a bit overwhelming if you let it sink in too deeply, but I find there's a certain beauty in the chaos if you look at it from the right angle. We're all just trying to navigate this together, figuring out which parts of the old way are worth keeping and which parts we should probably leave in the rearview mirror. I'm curious to see where everyone else stands on this, because it feels like we're all standing on the edge of something pretty massive.
I don't recall getting any kind of warning from you, mostly because I don't really see you as an authority here and, honestly, I don't have any respect for you.

Just because you don't see eye to eye with him doesn't mean he isn't a moderator. His warnings carry just as much weight as Deckard's, regardless of what your personal opinion of him might be.

Oh man, that sounds like a bit of a situation! What happened? Don't leave me hanging—give me the full scoop! kaže:
That’s exactly why they stripped you of your banning privileges in the first place—it all comes back to those same issues.

He hasn't actually lost any of his banning privileges. He’s still got full authority to ban whoever he feels needs to be kicked off, though he can always choose to hand that responsibility over to one of his colleagues if he wants to.

The moderator actually went ahead and posted proof that you did receive a warning regarding that specific sub-forum, even if it wasn't strictly necessary to bring up. Looking at the timeline, it’s pretty clear this isn't just some one-off bad day; this kind of inappropriate behavior has been an ongoing pattern for a while now. All the moderators over at the Movie subreddit were completely in agreement about this particular section, and the supermod stepped in to back them up, too. Honestly, nothing has been presented here that would change my mind or convince me otherwise.
Hero Mike - question about my username in Feedback & Suggestions ·
I totally get where you're coming from regarding why Jack's avatar and his "hero Mike" username might seem problematic, but I really feel like we need to step back and look at the bigger picture here. There are quite a few people on this forum who actually served alongside him, and they could tell you firsthand that his military record isn't defined solely by the specific reasons that led to his conviction and those years he spent behind bars. Since this is still such a sensitive and, frankly, delicate subject to navigate, our take is that we should probably let both the nickname and the avatar slide for now. We aren't entirely convinced that he belongs in the same category as guys like Himmler or Hitler—who are absolute no-gos here—so we've decided to let it pass for the time being.

Terry Reed13 said:So, are there specific conditions under which you'd actually consider lifting his ban if he reaches out and asks?

Look, we’ll take any request into consideration if—and only if—one actually comes our way. It isn't just a snap decision; we'd need to dive deep into their profile, look over any past sanctions, review their entire posting history, and really weigh the context of the conversation that led to the ban in the first place. This isn't something we can just knock out in five minutes; it requires a real amount of effort and attention, which we'll be more than happy to provide whenever the situation calls for it. Right now, though, we have a massive mountain of actual, pressing work on our plates to deal with.
