That’s a legitimate grievance right there, and honestly, you didn't really have anything substantive or relevant to add to it. Just dropping comments without actually backing up your own point doesn't really get us anywhere.

But hey, if you're really set on keeping that specific email, you could always head into your settings, swap the email linked to this nickname, and then log back in with a brand-new handle instead.
Samuel Morgan40 really hit the nail on the head with her explanation. Just a heads-up though, this thread is specifically meant for nickname changes, so you might want to give the opening post a quick read before jumping in here.
Honestly, I think it might flow better if we went with: Movies, CBS, Music, Literature... I don't really see how much of a difference it makes or why it would be any more logical if we just swapped CBS and Literature around.

Honestly, I don't think this is just a simple domain issue for our tech admin to handle; it feels like something deeper buried within the server itself. I'm digging a bit further into it right now, and I'll be sure to keep you all posted as soon as I have an update.

As far as I'm concerned, she’s more than welcome to reach out through a different channel 😁 privately. It’ll be up to the admins to decide if that's enough, especially since I'm pretty sure both of them are already familiar with her whole situation. Personally, I'm totally willing to work with her if she finds that approach easier to handle. That said, I highly doubt they're going to lift a ban for someone who hasn't even asked for it yet, let alone expressed any interest in coming back.
I’m not going to dive into all the specifics here because I’d end up leaking way more info than I want to—or honestly, more than I’m even allowed to share. But look, if Deadpool really wants to get her account unbanned, she needs to take that request straight to the FBI. As far as I know, she still has access over there. And hey, if she happens to be locked out for some reason, there's a specific channel where she can let us know so we can get things sorted and make sure she can start posting again.
When threads get moved over to the Trash folder, they completely vanish from a user's profile, along with all their posts. That means unless someone explicitly spells it out, we’re left totally guessing which specific topic they're actually referring to.
Besides, if you're going to file an appeal, you really ought to be crystal clear about what you're contesting. It shouldn't be up to someone else to dig through a mountain of PDFs just to play detective and figure out what the author is even talking about! Since the person who started this whole thing doesn't even seem to know which thread they're looking for, I'm going ahead and closing this topic. They can always reach back out once they remember exactly what the issue was.
I actually took some time to comb through the first page of both the Trash and Politics sections to see if the thread had been relocated or deleted, but I couldn't find anything that matched the description in the original post. Honestly, since I have no clue when the thread "disappeared," I don't even know what timeframe I should be searching through.
Look, I’m asking you all nicely: please don't go throwing accusations at anyone without backing them up with actual links or by naming specific users. When you just throw out these vague, undefined allegations, there's no way for us to verify if they're true or even worth looking into, and frankly, that kind of baseless drama doesn't belong here on this subreddit.
I just shot a message over to the tech admin, so fingers crossed they can track down whatever's causing the glitch and get everything back on track soon!

Honestly, I didn't even realize user notes existed for quite a while after I switched to dark mode. It’s not like a little pop-up window appears automatically when you click on someone's profile or anything! And once I finally figured it out, I wasn't even sure if other people on the forum could see their own notes. Look, there are just some things you won't know until you stumble upon them, ask about them, or have someone point them out to you—that's just how life works, right?

Actually, those user notes are really just meant for the moderators to use, not for the regular members. Most people on the forum can't even see the notes on someone else's profile, so if you want to get a message to them, you'll have to send a PM instead.
