Oily hair, help! in Health ·
Kenneth Hernandez67 said:Of course it dries it out... and washing your hair while on your period increases female mortality rates☕

Good grief, does nobody actually read the opening post? We aren't talking about greasy female hair here; we're talking about a guy. To quote: "one of my dear and dearest friends, a total sweetheart," or I might add, "an incredibly smart and handsome guy any mother would be proud to have as a son or a boyfriend."
The real issue is this: there are dry shampoos and powders out there, but every single one I've come across smells like heavy hairspray. Is there actually anything unscented available, and if so, where can I find it? I'd really rather not get a haircut again... 🙂 🙂
Sophia Loren didn't perform for a crowd of 7,000; the arena was still mostly empty at that point.

sorry, I used the wrong word there. I didn't mean trash—I meant parody. Because that movie is an absolute masterclass in parody.

I caught this one in theaters, and honestly, I thought it was terrible until I stopped trying to take it seriously. Once I leaned into it, it became an absolute masterpiece of trash cinema. I spent the last thirty minutes dying of laughter, though the people sitting around me just gave me some pretty weird looks. 😁
So, what movies do you actually like? in Movies ·
Debbie Does Dallas, Deep Throat, and The Perils of Josephine Mutzenbacher are absolute essentials. 😁
Troy in Movies ·

It’s actually a bit ironic, considering the only thing I remember from The Iliad is how characters go on endless monologues.

That’s one of my biggest gripes with Troy: you walk away feeling like the whole war lasted maybe a week. But according to Homer, it went on for years.
Unfortunately, Troy is just your typical American blockbuster—fun for a weekend, then forgotten. It's a shame about The Iliad.

Mudhoney - I'm Dick (kind of like what they'd say at an indie club in NYC; or maybe it's "suck me"?!) 😁

Damn, I hit quote instead of edit. At least I think I hit edit this time. Fingers crossed. 😁

2004 Locomotive Championship Winners in Other Sports ·
After twelve years of dominance by Kraft Heinz, Locomotive finally clinched the American championship yesterday. For those who aren't following, we're talking about women's handball.
That’s all there is to it. I figured this deserved its own thread.
Dealing with allergic rhinitis? in Health ·
I’ve got a dust and dust mite allergy, but it doesn't hit my nose or lungs—it hits my skin. The itching is enough to drive anyone crazy. I've been taking Fexofenadine for three years now, and it keeps things under control. But the second I stop? The itch comes right back. 🙂

It’s obviously irrelevant.
Have you actually listened to Tina Turner lately, or ever? 😁
Stigmata in Movies ·
The movie is mindless.
Utterly brainless.
It reminds me of some flick I saw at the local AMC years ago; two weeks later, I couldn't even tell you the plot.
But, as someone else already pointed out:

Freddy vs. Jason in Movies ·
Roger Wood50 said:I just finished watching it. I wasn't exactly blown away, though that’s likely because I haven't seen Nightmare on Elm Street or the other one🙄 mostly involving Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees.

Wait... what does Nightmare on Elm Street have to do with Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees? 😕

The traitor.
Clint Eastwood.
Every single time I hear that monologue in "Unforgiven" during that saloon scene at the end:
"I'm comin' outta here... an' any fucker I see out there, I'm gonna
kill him... an' any fucker takes a shot at me, I ain't just gonna kill him, but I'm gonna kill his wife an' all his friends an' burn his fucking house, hear?"
It gives me goosebumps. Every time.
Is it John Carpenter? If I’m not mistaken, he handles the music for most of his own films.

I have nothing more to add. Nothing to take away either.
