Once the hookup—or sex in general—is over, don't they end up saying things like, "Hey, remember when you told me you were really good at..." and then they use the wrong tense or some weird phrasing?

Basically, we were watching Yo-Yo Ma and I found her absolutely stunning. I started rambling about how everything about her performance felt so erotic—you know, the way she sits with her legs spread wide and all that—and he actually agreed, just from a completely different angle.
For me, seeing her play always brings to mind nothing but self-pleasure. For him, though, it’s purely physical; he sees her body as the focal point, making the whole thing erotic, whereas to him, the instrument isn't a sexual metaphor at all—it’s just a cello (which is honestly baffling to me, especially coming from Him😕 who usually has such a vivid imagination🤔 and isn't exactly straight-laced😁)
Yeah, when I see a cellist positioned like that, wedged between those open legs, it screams high-quality, skillful, truly passionate masturbation to me. I love watching her, whether she's sitting there or moving around with the cello, riding it, getting lost in the rhythm and the sound and whatever else.😁
We eventually moved the conversation toward Slash and my take on that scene where he walks out of the church and starts his guitar solo. My interpretation was intensely sexual again; I view Slash’s guitar as a woman in the hands of a true professional, someone who makes her wail and cry out in pure ecstasy while he simultaneously melts away under the sweet agony of it all.🙈
Though, I have to admit, Angus Young only ever reminds me of an autistic child fixated on a toy.😁

I am not sure about you, but to me, there is an inherent sense of culture and sophistication in that imagery—it creates such a palpable tension. It is far more elevated than just seeing a naked woman who, once she starts talking, sounds like she’s herding sheep in the Midwest. "What are you looking at?" It simply isn't the same experience, is it?
Robin Jackson9 said:Why is it that in like, a million music videos, you see these girls playing the violin almost half-naked or just totally exposed on set?
I mean, seriously, they seem way more stripped down in these videos lately....
Why is everyone so obsessed with violinists?
And why am I so turned on whenever I see a woman with a violin?
Look, obviously any attractive woman catches my eye, but when there's a violin involved, it hits me on this whole different, extra special level,
Other guys can try to lie and say they don't feel the same way, but let's be real... everyone's feeling it...
Don't come at me with those "castration complex" or "anima" psychology theories... none of that actually explains it for me.
I started this thread because most other discussions online are just people whining about stuff like "why do I feel so bad, life sucks, I don't know why"... and I don't want to give the impression that psychology is just some study of bad vibes we can't explain. Let's make this a thread for "why does this feel so damn good" (whenever I see a violinist).
Go ahead... feel free to post similar topics here.

Everything would probably seem pretty ridiculous from that distance... just a tiny rock spinning around the sun in the middle of nowhere, hosting a life that lasts for a mere fraction of infinity. And don't even get me started on how little we actually know about anything. It honestly feels like some kind of video game.
It’s like we’re all playing through a level—as if before we were born, someone asked if we wanted Earth or some other planet. You wouldn't have to think too hard about it; you're only stuck there for a few decades anyway. 🙂
We have absolutely no clue how absurd our "massive" problems actually are.
To me, the only thing that makes any sense is the idea that there's something else after this.
What do you guys think?
we have no idea how absurd our "massive" problems actually are
it feels like the only logical thing is that there's "life" after this

Just like the body—filtering blood, processing nutrients, and managing cell regeneration—the mind is constantly gathering sensory data, sorting it, analyzing it, and storing memories. It knows its job. While understanding these biological and psychological processes can certainly help us live more intentional, healthier lives, we aren't actually the ones calling the shots on how our existence operates. Humans have thrived for millennia without even a basic understanding of neurology or physiology. They lived, loved, grieved, celebrated, and simply existed. Isn't there a profound sense of freedom in knowing that we continue to exist quite effortlessly, even when we aren't thinking about ourselves? 🙂
