I mean, I totally get why Gertrude hates her name.🤣
Look, you can have hang-ups about any name—even ones that sound all trendy, sleek, and "urban."😍 It’s clearly just a matter of how you see yourself.
Take me, for instance—my name is pretty basic and straightforward. Sure, it's super common globally.🤣 But it's timeless. When I was a kid, I couldn't stand it. Now? I actually love it.🙂
Look, at my college, being a total loner was actually pretty standard. People mostly just hung out in tiny little cliques—like pairs or maybe groups of three.🤣 And honestly? Whoever you bonded with during freshman year, that was basically your crew for the next four years. That was it.😁 You didn't really see these big, outgoing social circles...
But hey, flying solo isn't exactly "normal" or even a good move either. If you stay too isolated, you eventually just drift away from the whole campus vibe.
Are indoor cats actually dangerous? Even the ones that never set foot outside—like, they've literally never even stepped onto a porch. Can they still somehow carry parasites despite being total homebodies?
Morgan Bishop4 said:Or maybe I’m just moving in slow motion? Though, honestly, I don't think that's it...
I seriously don't get why some people lose their minds if everything isn't finished this exact second, or if a project doesn't start immediately, or if you don't knock out every single task today instead of leaving it for tomorrow. Like, chill out.
I can't stand it when people try to rush me through things that aren't even urgent enough to matter whether they're done today or next week! 😠 It’s not like I’m sprinting to catch a Greyhound bus; there’s always another one rolling into the station ten minutes later anyway, so what's the big deal?
I really prefer doing things at my own pace, and I just don't understand the obsession with getting everything done right this instant... (my mom is driving me absolutely insane lately). It's like everyone thinks they have to pull an all-nighter like some Wall Street intern, instead of just finishing up by 3 PM like a normal human being.
Okay, but... what's actually going on here? Am I just lazy? Am I like that grasshopper from the fable who kept putting everything off until tomorrow, only to freeze to death once winter hit? Or is it that the people constantly rushing around have some kind of disorder, or they're just incredibly impatient, or whatever...🤷
Is it just that people have this weird psychological need to turn every little thing into a high-stress crisis, or am I actually just being lazy? :/
Speaking from experience—yeah. 😍 I am pathologically impatient and high-strung. It gets pretty extreme, too. Like, if I'm on a call and my phone dies, my hands actually start shaking from pure frustration until I can get back online! 🙄 🤷
I remember staying in the hospital once and honestly, my experience was actually pretty solid.😁 But man, everything I’m hearing lately? It’s anything but good.👎 I mean, that theory mentioned above—it kind of makes sense if you think about it...

Last month was super heavy, but this month was pretty standard for days 1 and 2, then it just... vanished for a few hours on day 3,😕and then on days 4 and 5, it picked back up at a normal pace.. anything to worry about? It’s bugging me a bit that it "disappeared" for a few hours—it wasn't one continuous flow like I'm used to..
That's literally my life every single month.🤷 Heavy for two days, almost nothing by mid-day three, and then boom—it starts again. By day 4, I'm basically done.
Maria Morgan said:I don't know—half the people I've talked to say their left side hurts too, so I'm pretty confused.
Is it actually a rule that a different ovary releases an egg every single month, like they just swap back and forth? I swear they taught us that back in biology class.
Huh, I had no clue about that.😕

Mamica4 says: No clue—for me, it's either everything hurts or absolutely nothing does... Maybe that specific one is more active🤷, idk, I'm no

Or maybe it's an ovarian infection. I know for a fact one of my ovaries hurt way worse than the other, and turns out it was an inflammation.🤷

What we actually want is drop-down menus and better signature formatting :maše traMsparentom:.

It’s worth remembering that the symptoms listed for hypothyroidism don't necessarily manifest in every single patient.
For instance, I dealt with more frequent bowel movements, and the weight gain didn't really kick in until my thyroid levels had hit a critical point. I also struggled with the heat because I just wasn't sweating properly. In my opinion, if your doctor refused to write you a referral for those hormone tests, they aren't taking your concerns seriously enough.
p.s. stormycanyon18, I see you eventually went in to get your thyroid levels checked; did you get your results back yet?
Not sure where you are, but my hormone and antibody tests cost about $300.😲
Anyway, I've got basically every symptom mentioned in the original post (minus the low temp), and I totally agree with what > said, except my thyroid is actually fine.🤷
Anthony Torres102 said:Do you think other people are responsible for our mental state, or are we the ones to blame for everything going wrong in our lives?
Maybe if we had just walked away from certain people sooner, we’d actually be living better, more fulfilling lives right now. We wouldn't be stuck dealing with depression or carrying around these heavy mental health struggles that eventually spiral into actual physical illness...
It’s a common pattern: once someone gets sick, everyone around them starts pointing fingers, acting like it’s their own fault. People rarely stop to ask about the environment that person was living in or the sheer amount of trauma they endured before finally hitting a breaking point.
So, who is actually at fault?
What’s your take? How much of your current situation or your illness do you attribute to the people around you?
Solid theory, but honestly? It’s almost impossible to pull off in real life.😍 How is someone supposed to just "walk away" from stuff that happened 5, 10, or 15 years ago?🤷 And let's face it—it’s usually those family dynamics, toxic patterns, and deep-seated issues from childhood that set the stage for everything else going wrong later on.
Justin Fisher said:I get why seeing stuff like this brings back all those old memories for you guys, but I’m curious—do you ever get those same vibes from objects you aren't even attached to? Like, things that are relatively new or just don't play a huge role in your daily life yet?
That's actually a really interesting way to put it. Personally, yeah, I definitely tend to drift off into my own head quite a bit; I'm one of those people who thinks very visually, so it's pretty easy for me to just sort of... linger inside my own mind for a while.
Do you reckon there might be some kind of connection between the two?
Rushing out the door, but I had to hop on for this one!🙏 Oh yeah, I’m definitely one of those people.🤣 It all started back in the day when I used to have full-on conversations with my Barbie dolls.🙄 Nowadays? It’s basically me giving my laptop a little kiss because I love it so much🤣, or apologizing to an object right before I toss it, or even actually telling things, "Hey, don't be sad!"🤦

To be honest, I find it quite unsettling that psychology, as a scientific discipline, cannot predict who might turn into a killer due to standard life stressors. It’s essentially like physics being unable to determine if a bridge is going to collapse or not. (After all, the entire purpose of scientific theories is to forecast outcomes and ensure those results align with reality.)
And you really think the "best" ones—the smartest among potential killers—wouldn't pass a psych test looking perfectly normal? 🤷 That's exactly why psychiatrists struggle with them. We're talking about damn intelligent people here.
And obviously, this whole theory about predicting crime is total garbage, because at the end of the day, perfectly normal people can crack for a million different reasons.
That’s how I always do it. And honestly? I find it hard to believe Wednesday morning is some kind of unbreakable deadline.🤷 I mean, it's just my local neighborhood pharmacy—they actually know who I am...
I’ve got that on both ears.🤷 I always figured it was linked to my piercings—like, they'd get infected every once in a while and leave these little nasty bumps inside. So wait, you don't even have pierced ears?🤷
Private ophthalmologist in Miami. (actually knows how to check your prescription🙏) — because apparently, there are doctors out there who can't even do that.🙄
melloworca6 said:If we women say we’re feeling miserable, then fine, let the guys say they’re having a rough time too. 😬
Girls, have you noticed that everything just seems to get worse as you get older?
Back in the day, I didn't even need pills because I could actually tough out the cramps. Around age 18, things started getting heavy, but I could handle it with just one Tylenol. Now? Every month gets more brutal. The flow during those first two days is getting heavier and more intense. It honestly scares me to think what it'll be like when I hit 40.
Before I was 19, I didn't even know what PMS or period cramps were.😁 Then it all hit at once, and every year just keeps getting worse. First, it was mild cramps, then the flooding, then both at once, then digestive issues for the first two days, then pain during ovulation, and now full-blown GI issues throughout the entire PMS cycle...🙏 Is there anything else that can go wrong?!🙄
