Dealing with bad cramps? in Women's Health ·
copperraven53 said:Same here. On the first day of my period, I definitely deal with digestive issues too. I guess those cramps probably trigger it all.🙄

Preach!😠 Most of the time I don't even get "classic" cramps—it's mostly this stuff instead. Anyone actually found a way to deal with it?🙄 For me, it kicks in during PMS...and just sticks around until the bleeding starts.😢

Melissa Barnes4 said:I honestly don't get why people do this. Why is there such a desperate need to drag others down, gossip about their private business, or dissect everything they do? It’s like they find some weird sense of fulfillment in it, acting as if sticking their noses into everyone else's affairs somehow makes them superior or more important than they actually are. It's exhausting to watch.

In my experience, these kinds of people are just fundamentally unhappy. I truly believe that someone who is actually content with their own life wouldn't spend their energy trying to maliciously tear someone else down. If you're genuinely happy, you don't feel the need to meddle in things that have nothing to do with you.
Now, I’m not talking about those trivial comments about what someone chose to wear or other superficial nonsense.

What’s your take on all this?

p.s. I tried searching for a thread on this already, but came up empty.

Well, look, I’m far from happy, but I still don't do that.🤣🤣

Honestly, I think it just comes down to character. Though, yeah, usually those types are just deeply dissatisfied with themselves.

Oh, sure, "I get it,"🙄 right? People who have never felt actual pain love to talk—but I know a girl who’s basically dying from agony, yet refuses to "poison herself" with pills.🤦 And I'm talking about basic stuff, like Advil.🙄

Kimberly White63 said:Same here. But I can't touch hormone therapy because of my thyroid issues.

So how exactly are you "dealing" with it? Besides being housebound—which sounds miserable—is there seriously nothing else that can be done? (Assuming we're ruling out hormones, obviously)

Kimberly White63 said:Same here—I haven't even been allowed to step foot outside my house for three days, and last time I had what looked like actual stretch marks. My doctor mentioned it might be due to some crazy endometrial overgrowth. Just for context, my periods are always heavy and drag on for about seven days.

Honestly, at this rate, it’s gonna be a hormonal imbalance... and I am definitely not looking to start messing with hormones.😢

Anyone got any ideas on what I can actually do about this?!🙏
My flow is super inconsistent. It lasts maybe 3 days—maybe 4 if I'm lucky. The first two days are totally fine, but by day 3, I deal with this massive flood where literally no pad could handle it. It’s intense for a few hours, and I basically have to stay in bed just to change products constantly.
Once that surge passes, my period pretty much just... stops.🙏 Like, barely a drop left. It’s wild. Right after that crazy blowout, everything just shuts down. And that's it for the month!😕 🤷

Ethan Watson43 said:Hey ladies, I am in a total panic today...

I know, I know—I should have dealt with this sooner. But I’m a complete workaholic, and honestly, I’ve always been pretty negligent when it comes to my health.

So, here’s the thing. I got an invite today for this week-long workshop. It involves a ton of excursions and outdoor activities, and of course, looking at the calendar, it lands right on my period.

There is zero chance I can snag a last-minute appointment with a gynecologist by March 5th, so I wanted to see if anyone else deals with this. My cycle is all over the place; it’s never consistent. It always shifts forward by a day or two, every single month, all year round. And the flow is heavy. On top of that, for the first two days, I deal with blood clots. Because of that, I basically can’t sit down for the first 48 hours—not on the bus, not in the car. My job requires me to be on my feet anyway, so I’ve managed to get by, but I have to be incredibly careful. If I wasn't constantly hyper-aware of where and how I sit, I’ve had some seriously embarrassing situations happen.
With this workshop coming up, I have no idea how I’m going to manage. They’re going to expect us to be constantly moving—biking, hiking, exploring... instead of actually enjoying this opportunity to do great work, I’m just... well, I can already see myself making excuses to skip the excursions because of the pain.

Sorry for the long, rambling post, but the panic really set in. Has anyone else had to deal with this level of caution during their cycle? And does anyone know of any quick fixes, like a specific pill or something similar?

Thanks in advance for any advice. 🙂

I deal with the exact same thing, though like you, I definitely don't make my health a priority.🙄 I've basically just learned to live with it by being incredibly cautious.🙏 On certain days, there is zero chance I'm even leaving the house. Sometimes I literally have to stay in bed.

Solutions? For me, it would probably be medication, since I know my hormones are a mess, but I really hate taking pills. I'd only do it in a life-or-death situation.🙏

Anyone know if stress can actually mess with pain levels?🤷 Because honestly, I’ve been in a complete mental tailspin these last few months—my period is running 5-6 days late every single time, the cramps are hitting way harder than usual, and my last ovulation was basically a bloodbath.🙄 Can life being a total wreck really cause all this?
Period talk: Questions and advice in Women's Health ·
Not sure if this is the right thread, but is it actually normal to have ovary pain so bad during ovulation that I’m reaching for Ketorolac? Usually, I feel ovulation—just some dull ache in my left ovary—but it’s never been this intense before. It’s never reached the point where I need actual meds just to function.
I tried Neoepinephrine first, but since that did absolutely nothing, I had to grab the Ketorolac!😁
Plus, my ovulation spotting was way heavier than usual this time. Like, standard bloody mucus, but in much larger amounts!😢

Does anyone know where I can go in Miami to get tear gland surgery done? Any leads would be huge!🙏 😛

This thread is perfect for busting myths and clearing up misconceptions. So many women think a Pap test is the be-all and end-all—like if it's clear, you're golden—which is just plain wrong. Honestly, a ton of women have never even bothered with swabs, let alone regular checkups, and they’ve got themselves (and their doctors) to blame for being so out of the loop.

I actually had a friend who gynecologist tried to convince that the Federal Reserve could spot HPV on a Pap test.🙄 Basically telling her it was impossible to have HPV without the Pap test flagging it.🙏
Lisa Nelson70 said:Feels like life just keeps throwing curveballs at people like me. I just want to hook up without a single worry—excuse my language, but I’m pissed—and honestly, what's the worst that could happen? Nothing, right?.

Exactly.😢 I've got a friend with basically the exact same lifestyle as me—and nothing serious has happened to her (yet)! 🤷
Look, you aren't alone in those fears. Seriously.😢 I honestly don't have the mental bandwidth—or the willpower—to even think about starting something new with anyone. I didn't jump back into my current relationship until after taking a full two-year break.🙏 Luckily, he’s a total hypochondriac—so he's out there getting tested for everything every chance he gets!🤣🤣
As if I actually have the energy to sit here and explain what unknown is to people right now. Seriously?🙄I honestly have no idea what’s coming next... and frankly? I'd much rather just be alone and at peace than stuck in this constant loop of wondering. After everything I've been through lately, my health is the only thing that actually matters to me. Period.😛
So, I ended up testing positive for HPV—even though I’ve never even touched a guy without a condom in my entire life!🙏 🙄

Honestly, they don't. He just ends up finishing somewhere in the folds of her massive ballgown; no man can possibly last long enough to get through all those layers of fabric before it's over.🤣🤣

There is zero chance he's actually hooking up! If he’s grossed out by watermelon juice, what the hell is he gonna do about the real deal?🙂
🤣🤣🤣

Even if you moved to the edge of the universe, you’d still find some way to get annoyed by people's little quirks. You'd find something to complain about in everything—because apparently, everyone else needs to function like a damn robot for you to be happy.🤷 Honestly, you just sound like a total stiff who doesn't know how to live in the moment. It's got nothing to do with culture.😉

silentnomad23 said:So, I was sitting there after lunch today, letting my mind wander through a rather curious thought: why does it always seem easier to be the one initiating action rather than the one receiving it?
It’s a phenomenon that goes far beyond physical intimacy; it’s deeply rooted in our psychological makeup. If I were to imagine myself navigating the world from a masculine perspective, honestly, taking charge and being the active force with one, two, or even ten people wouldn't feel like much of a struggle at all. However, looking at this through a feminine lens changes the equation entirely. When you are the one penetrating, you are essentially asserting your integrity; when you are the one being penetrated, that sense of self-integrity feels like it retreats. This is where those classic archetypes of male "dominance" and female "submissiveness" seemingly originate.
For instance, if someone wanders into my personal space—say, coming within half a meter of me—my instinctual reaction is often to push back with both hands. People usually look for an explanation because they can't quite wrap their heads around why I reacted that way (essentially, my "penetrating" stance). It got me reflecting on my own behavior and thinking about the times I have been the one in the active role—and just how many different ways people have tried to defend themselves against that.
Still, these convex and concave dynamics in life and behavior are inevitable; ultimately, they play a role in the very mechanics of reproduction. But as society evolves, we are seeing more fluid identities, which will likely lead to a generation of "moral relativists" regarding these convex-concave mental statuses.
To get straight to the point: could you envision yourselves as the opposite gender, and if so, how would you describe that experience?

(A quick note to the feminists and the chauvinists out there: please leave the moralizing at the door. We're keeping the ethics strictly to the philosophy section below.) 🙂

Could I see myself as a man, specifically regarding his role as the penetrator? 🤣If that's the question, the answer is no. It comes down to the fact that I'm chasing this nearly impossible ideal of total equality in relationships. If I kept going with this, I'd end up drifting into LJS territory. 🙏
Ugh, seriously... every single time I have coffee, I’m running to the bathroom every 20 minutes.😕 It happens like three times in a row, and then finally, things settle down.🤷
I bet I’m the only one dealing with this nonsense.🙏 🤣
