Watching this was pure torture. I wasn't expecting some genius screenplay or a deep story—I just wanted solid action—but even that fell flat. It’s decent for the first 20 or 30 minutes until that scene in the cockpit, but after that, it just gets tedious, boring, and repetitive. Honestly, I was just counting down the minutes until it ended.
This is a movie for non-gamers, or people who don't have time to deal with that kind of "nonsense" and just want an hour of mindless fun. Anyone who has played even two FPS games in their life, especially modern ones, is going to be totally unimpressed.

Major props to the crew for filming the whole thing in first-person; I respect the hustle, but the movie itself is just garbage.

Even Sharlto Copley, who I usually dig, was getting on my last nerve once his second clone showed up. I could see exactly where it was heading, and it just got more exhausting. I couldn't wait for everyone to just die already. 😁

Speaking of humor, I'm a fan of parody and over-the-top stuff, which is what this should have been, but I honestly can't remember a single funny scene. 🤷

For the entire runtime, I felt like I was watching Bruce Lee on steroids, specifically the villain 🙏. That's the vibe—just a bigger budget and a first-person camera version of Trashin squared. 🤣

If you're dying of curiosity, go ahead and watch it, but I'd much rather recommend Bruce Lee or THIS five-minute video that I'm pretty sure inspired the film. Save yourself the ninety minutes of misery.

4/10
Only because of the effort put in by the crew and the stunt team.

Absolute disaster.

I actually liked the concept, but once I saw how they pulled it off, I was totally blindsided. Honestly, it feels like Proyas just made this as a cheap substitute for his unfinished "Paradise Lost".

It looks like the CGI completely fried his brain. He started messing up effects in "I, Robot", kept sliding in "Knowing", and then just straight-up nuked everything in this new flick. Such a shame. At this point, I'll probably just remember him for "Raven" and "Dark City"—total waste of talent.☕

Matthew Johnson30 said:Feels like the kind of thing Nicolas Cage would take any amount of money for.

Exactly.🤣

This looks just like all the other trash from the last few years—like that Frankenstein flick, then that witch hunter movie with Cage, then Abraham, Dracula, Van Helsing, etc. Seriously, all these movies look identical.

I don't get how they manage to scrape together enough cash for a movie like this and land some big-name actors, only for the final product to be total garbage every single time. And honestly, who is even watching this stuff?🙏
Black Hat (2015, Michael Mann) in Movies ·
I read the synopsis and the premise actually looked solid, but after seeing the trailer, I’m officially out. The reason? Shaky cam.

Look, I’m all for shaky cam in > flicks like > or >, but it has absolutely nuked > movies over the last decade. > was a disaster, > was a disaster... honestly, > was the only one where it wasn't totally unbearable, mostly because that movie is actually high quality and I didn't even notice it as much—it actually fit the vibe.
But man, the way he forces this filming style into his recent stuff just makes me sick. This one will probably just end up waiting for better days on some streaming service.

Robert Rodriguez2 said:Swap out the power supply, grab a new GPU, and you're golden. For now, 4GB of RAM should cut it.

Here's how I'd play it:
1 x Sapphire R7 260X 1GB GDDR5 OC, 1GB GDDR5 128bit, 28nm
1 x XFX Core Edition 80+ 450W PSU - EasyRail technology
1 x ZALMAN CNPS 5X, socket 775/1155/1156/AM2/AM2/AM3

$448

Basically, overclocking just means cranking the clock speeds higher than what they set at the factory.

Depending on your motherboard, results will vary—some handle it better than others.🙂

You know which motherboard you're running?

Thanks!

It's an ASRock P43DE3.

My power supply is an ATX 12V Power Supply, and honestly, it’s about 10 years old—basically a relic at this point.

Also, if someone could walk me through what that overclocking thing actually entails🤣(since my buddy mentioned it earlier too), I'd appreciate it. I have zero clue what's actually happening—is it just CPU overheating and how to stop it with beefier fans and those voltage spikes? Don't kill me😬), but I know it's off-topic, so just shoot me a PM if you don't mind.

Hey there!

I’m pretty sure my GPU is dying (here's the ). Device Manager is throwing a "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)" error at me.

Here’s what I’m running right now:
image
The RAM is DDR3.
My card is an Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT
And I've got a 500W power supply.

What should I upgrade to? I'm looking for something mid-range—are the Nvidia GTX 750 or the 650 the way to go?
I've been able to run newer titles on Normal or High settings without much trouble (think Assassin's Creed 3, Batman: Arkham Origins, or Mass Effect 3), but this 8800 GT is already five years old.

Honestly, I don't know much about the technical side of things. Will my current PSU handle a new card? Should I grab another 4GB of RAM, and is my CPU actually decent enough to keep up?

I dropped HIMYM after season 4. It was way too much—just constant, nauseatingly sweet fluff. As for TWD, I bailed halfway through season 3. Every single character was driving me insane, and the writers? Absolute trash. They loved dragging everything out just to kill time. I peeked back at the main plot recently and it’s even worse now. Honestly, thank god I quit; ever since Darabont lost the reins on that show, everything went straight down the drain.☕

Right now I'm watching Banshee🙏. This show has absolutely everything: Amish gangsters, a trans hacker, an albino motherfucker, Russian mobsters, Nazis, Native Americans... and most importantly, plenty of great ass and tits.
The lead guy (some sheriff who’s actually a criminal living under a fake ID) runs into a different faction every episode. One minute he's getting his ass kicked, the next he's hooking up with a woman—and get this, there's a new girl every single time. Game of Thrones feels like a bedtime story compared to the sex scenes in this thing. Every episode is just him dodging bullets or chasing chicks.🙏

Personally, I'm thinking Oscar Isaac or Dominic Cooper.
When trailers lie (SPOILER THREAD) in Movies ·
I don't see any kind of plot twist here🤷, honestly. The old folks are terrified of the kid and think she’s some demon, and yeah, at first Ren thinks they've all lost their minds and tries to settle her in, but eventually, even she realizes the little girl is pure evil.

There isn't even a supernatural force stalking her or trying to possess her in this movie (even though the whole trailer makes you think that's the entire point), and there isn't a single moment where the film drops a hint suggesting otherwise. From the jump, you know exactly what the problem is.🤷

The trailer makes it look like demons are hunting this little girl, but turns out she’s actually the demon and the main villain.
After watching the movie, I honestly wasn't sure if I watched the right trailer or if I was just tripping.😁

seriously surprised if this isn't a total disaster.

I don't have much of an argument here—though the trailer hints at where things are heading, and trailers can be misleading either way—it’s just a gut feeling that after Earth won't be worth the time.
Still, if I managed to sit through Skyline, I can handle this. I'm expecting a mess somewhere in the realm of Prometheus, just hopefully less hollow and pretentious.

By the way, I've never been a fan of nepotism—not in any industry, really—but that's the least of my concerns with this one. Will is a decent guy, sure, but I honestly can't take him seriously in any role; he just doesn't have that presence.

I feel the same way about him as an actor. I loved his stuff back in the 90s—you know, the whole "Prince from Bel-Air," "Bad Boys," "Independence Day," and "MIB" era. But since the new millennium hit, he’s basically just churning out garbage. The only ones that actually worked for me were "Pursuit of Happyness" (probably his best performance) and "I Am Legend." I guess "Bad Boys II" is still watchable, but "Hitch," "Hancock," and "I, Robot" were total skips for me.☕

I've seen mixed reviews regarding "Seven Pounds," so I gotta check it out. Supposedly it's a solid drama, I just hope it isn't overly sappy.
