American Pie (the first three, obviously) and American Reunion, The Girl Next Door, Easy A, Revolt in Youth, License to Drive, Superbad, 21 Jump Street, Road Trip, 18 Again, The Kings of Summer, Sex Drive, Project X, Submarine, The Cruel School, Napoleon Dynamite, Meet Monica Velour, Donnie Darko, Fired Up!, Cruel Intentions, Charlie Bartlett, Dazed and Confused, Get Me, Detroit Rock City, Disturbia, Role Models, Chronicle.
Underappreciated but actually decent teen flicks: The Art of Getting By, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Teen Wolf, Can't Hardly Wait, Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, The Stoned Age, Private Resort, Accepted, Drillbit Taylor, Van Wilder, Just Friends.
I guess that's basically it—there are more out there, I know, but these are just the ones stuck in my head right now. 🙂
edit: The Spectacular Now is also a pretty cool flick
Man, I totally blanked on the fact that I even started this thread.
Now that it’s actually hitting me how much I was looking forward to this... man, what a letdown. Such a massive disappointment. The movie itself was just bad—I mean, the concept was cool and actually pretty unique, but that was about it.
Frank Moore4 Asks: Anyway, here are a few thoughts on who could actually pull off playing Superman.
In my opinion, Bruce Campbell Back in the day, he would have been absolutely perfect. Now? It feels like he’s just overstaying his welcome. A bit too much, honestly. Such a shame...
Can anyone actually picture a blockbuster Superman adaptation based on Mataković's Protman, or maybe Inspector Danet, coming out of Hollywood? Prot Pictures Studio? 😍
Yeah, maybe he's older, but that doesn't mean he can't entertain people—have you even seen My Name is Bruce? Sure, it came out in 2007, but I don't think Campbell's gonna lose his touch in just a few years... talent is talent. Hail to the king, baby.
Man, I don't think anyone even remembers him from that Kingov Cat's Eye flick back in '85—you know, the one where he plays that guy who’s freaking out because he has to quit smoking or else some horrible thing is gonna happen to his family..? 🙂
Watched it last night. Pretty mediocre movie, honestly.
I was kind of expecting more, you know? People were out there hyping it up as the most innovative horror flick in a decade, but at the end of the day, it’s just another home invasion story with some little twist thrown in there. It actually reminded me a bit of no One Lives, mostly because of those traps and that whole creepy stalking vibe where you're just waiting for something to happen. If you've seen it, you'll get what I mean. It was just... okay, I guess. Just average.
Joshua Foster said:It feels like this whole genre of movies is just spiraling further and further into pure madness! Even though I’m a total sucker for good old-fashioned trash cinema, I simply don't have the luxury of time to sit through every single one of them anymore, so I decided to put together a little curated retrospective—a sort of "best of" highlight reel featuring the most memorable moments I can recall from these wild rides. Please, do let me know if I've missed any essential classics! As for the trailers, you'll definitely want to check those out too, though I didn't manage to grab specific links for them. For everything else, I've hunted down the best possible links I could find over on YouTube, or at least that's my sincere hope 🙂.

Did you seriously watch all of these? Respect.
Anyway, I've got a few of these on my watchlist, so maybe I'll drop a comment here once I get around to watching them. 🙂
Edit: I watched boa vs. Python a couple of years back, but honestly, I might give it another go.
It’s a decent flick, I guess, though since I’m from a newer generation, I’m only just getting around to seeing it. Honestly, I’d seen similar twists in other movies before, so when the big reveal finally hit, I wasn't even really shocked or anything—just kind of expected it. It’s a good movie overall, but man, it felt a little long-winded toward the end... still, I suppose it’s worth pushing through just to see how it all wraps up.
Oh, and one more thing—when Rourke gets back to his hotel room and we see the scene with the dead Epiphany lying there on the bed, I couldn't help but notice she hadn't shaved her armpits. 😁 Which is kinda wild considering Rourke was sleeping with her the night before, right? Just super awkward. 🤣
Anyway, Rourke is such a badass. I really dig his look in this one—the spit-curl hair and that whole vibe he had going on.
Honestly, we should probably just start some kind of international movement—like a massive club or something—for people who are totally over this remake culture. You know, a group dedicated to dodging every single remake out there and intentionally staying far away from theaters or streaming them, just purely out of respect for the original films.
Caught a bit of it a little while ago. I don't know, man. When you're just sitting there by yourself watching this stuff, it’s not exactly a riot.
Yeah, look, it’s definitely cheap laughs and all that—low-brow stuff, I guess—but it’d probably go over fine if you were hanging out with a group of friends. If I ever decided to give it another watch, I’d definitely make sure I wasn't alone.
There are a few scenes in there where you might actually crack a smile, though. 🙂
The Rock has a new movie coming out—looks pretty solid actually... I'm really hoping this one turns out better than that weak Faster flick.
Weak Faster? Wait, am I seeing that right? 😕
Personally, I thought Faster was one of the better revenge movies I've ever sat through—honestly, maybe one of the best. And obviously, Rock absolutely killed it in that one. 😁
