We pretty much wiped out the flu. Nobody actually knows how we pulled it off, but it’s gone. You are seriously out of the loop.😁
It's pretty obvious this person is living in a total bubble. I mean, they clearly didn't catch that medical staff, cruise ship workers, and other tourism employees all over the world have already been sidelined because they refused to get vaccinated.
Jason Kern63 said:The point isn't about someone's opinion; it’s about the sheer urgency of the situation. Urgency implies necessity. You don't have the luxury of sitting around waiting for five years of clinical trials when you're dealing with an immediate crisis. Every single "emergency" vaccine developed to date has followed this exact same accelerated timeline because you simply can't wait half a decade. Urgent means urgent. No one is ignoring the volunteers who stepped up to get jabbed first just to ensure we eventually had a vaccine we could somewhat trust. And let's be real: nothing is 100% safe, not even a Hershey bar. That's exactly why it isn't mandatory. Plus, nobody has been fired for refusing the shot yet, nor is it being marketed as some sort of magic shield against everything. It's still the PCR test you need to show when you're boarding a flight, for instance. What we do know is that it keeps people out of the hospital, and that's the bottom line. As for anything else? We'll see how things play out this winter and in the years to come.

I mean, when you're left with 30% of people who just don't want this specific shot, calling them all anti-vaxxers is just incredibly rude. It's shameless, really.
Labeling someone an anti-vaxxer—when they’ve spent their whole life getting every single vaccine available EXCEPT for this one COVID one—is about as ridiculous as calling a straight guy gay just because he isn't into one specific woman, even if he's attracted to a million others.

I don't really hang out in that subforum much—it smells toxic even from a distance—but seriously, is there any truth to this? 😲
You know what the fix is when your pants are way too big? A belt. Or just switch to skinny jeans. And you know what the solution is when you're such a massive guy that your feet are constantly killing you from blisters? Buying oversized work pants. With all due respect, I’d take that first "problem" any day of the week. ☕
I mean, Šamalamadingdong is honestly even worse than a Transformers film. At least Bay seems to take himself seriously, whereas this guy acts like he's some kind of übermensch creative on par with Kubrick, which he hasn't been for years now.

Plus, I "love" it when movies completely forget who their characters actually are. Like how Mel Gibson forgot he was supposed to be this elite spec ops guy who could kill people with his bare hands without breaking a sweat, which is literally where the "Die Hard Collection - Director's cut" title comes from.
He never really showed off top-tier martial arts skills in the franchise anyway; he was just a loose cannon and a crack shot. In the first one, he barely managed to take down Mr. Josh, in the second he almost died from a heart attack because of that old racist guy (at least until Donner smelled money and rewrote the ending), and in the fourth, Jet Li absolutely demolished him every single time they crossed paths. I don't really remember much about the third one.
The only truly impressive hand-to-hand moment was in the first movie, when he snapped that Asian guy's neck in one move.
TLZP reminded me of this movie. I probably need to give it another watch before nov k vrag rolls around—maybe even around New Year's, though I don't really have anywhere to go.
It’s actually a decent Christmas movie if you're an adult. Mel Gibson is just fantastic in this. The plot is a bit clunky, I guess, but what else do you expect from a movie based on mythology? It’s a shame they didn't lean harder into the whole immortality thing or his superhuman strength, though I'm pretty sure Fatman ends up regenerating that lost eye anyway. I wouldn't go looking for a masterpiece here; the movie wasn't even aiming for that.
"Based on my deep dive into linguistics, I’ve come to believe that if you're actually bright, you could pick up English (ignoring the mess that is spelling and pronunciation) in about thirty hours, grab French in thirty days, and then struggle through German for thirty years. It's pretty obvious from that, so maybe German just needs to be simplified and fixed. Honestly, if we don't change it, we might as well just tuck it away with all the other dead languages—because only people who aren't busy living life would ever have the time to master it." Mark Twain 😁
If you’re putting it that way, then I guess I’m an Endomorph too, since I basically see myself in 90% of those descriptions. But honestly, I can't say no to something sweet. I just can't stop at one slice of Dora's baking or maybe just one or two cookies. It's either nothing at all or I go full hardcore mode. The only other option left is getting a lobotomy, but I haven't tried that yet. 😁
It’s kind of depressing going back through Zeiov's old posts and his whole system for body types. I can't even tell what I am anymore. 😁 Probably just skinny fat.

You've spent your entire life trying to pack on weight, you've got a super narrow waist and tiny wrists, you're 6'3" and 165 pounds. No belly fat, but zero abs either. You're easy to push around and you're hitting the bathroom twice a day. You're most likely a pure ectomorph.
You've been overweight since you were a kid, and no matter what you do, the weight won't budge. It feels like you eat less than everyone else, yet you're still too embarrassed to take your shirt off at the beach. You probably deal with those intense cravings for greasy or sugary junk food and feel like you'll pass out if you don't gorge yourself. You're 5'9", 200 pounds, strong but sluggish, have a slow metabolism, and sometimes go two or three days without a bowel movement? You're an endomorph.
