Honestly, my first guess would be that we're looking at a yeast infection. You don't even really need to see a gynecologist for it; they'll just write you a script for some cream. Or, if you're feeling proactive, you can just grab something like Johnson & Johnson over the counter at any CVS or Walgreens.
There’s an entire thread dedicated to yeast infections over on the Health board, and then there's also stuff about it in the Women's section. But before jumping to conclusions about fungi, it might actually be a bacterial issue.
Ugh, honestly, they just ache. It’s not even a sharp pain, it’s more like they get so swollen that I can't even sleep on my stomach or wear a decent bra without feeling uncomfortable... and my skin feels so tight—I'm constantly dealing with new stretch marks appearing 😠 plus being a D/E cup is just driving me insane
It's such a nightmare. I actually started taking birth control recently, and I think the constant slight tenderness in my chest is just a side effect... hopefully that settles down once my body gets used to the hormones but man, PMS used to be an absolute horror show for me
That’s exactly how it hits me right before a nasty cold or the flu kicks in... I just feel totally drained for about a week, like I'm running on empty, and then—bam—it finally catches up to me.
Maybe you've got some kind of infection just lurking under the surface, and it's finally starting to make its move.
I mean, can you really blame yourself if you're drinking the cheap stuff? Beer... man...
Just stick to some good old-fashioned bourbon—it’s not even booze at that point, it’s basically medicine. You'll see, you'll wake up feeling like a brand new person tomorrow morning.

On a side note, does anyone have recommendations for calming teas?
To be honest, Persen doesn't really do much for me... I don't feel a thing (though, mind you, I have a pretty short fuse, so maybe it works better for you)
And look, taking one or two won't hurt you, but I definitely wouldn't recommend getting behind the wheel while you're on any kind of sedative stuff.
As for those calming teas, you can find them everywhere at the local CVS or Walgreens. Honestly, I think some of the big pharmacy chains even make their own blends.

Aha, gotcha! Thanks for the heads up. 🙂 I actually had no idea... I just take them for my sinus issues. 😳

Caterpillar 🙏 A buddy and I actually call them our "workhorses" 😍 just as a little nickname... but seriously, they're awesome.😍
If you’re feeling those pressure points right under your heel when you walk, maybe try tossing some softer insoles in there to cushion the blow If it’s more toward the back, honestly, just grab one of those orthopedic inserts—I think you can find them over at a CVS or Walgreens somewhere
I don't know... I always get blisters from my dress shoes, but sneakers? Never happened to me. Maybe your socks are just too thin😬 Try finding the exact spot on the sneaker that’s rubbing you the wrong way and check if there's a little bump or something inside making it uncomfortable
Wait, are you positive that size isn't actually too small for you? Have you thought about maybe carrying around something a bit larger—like, maybe double what you have now?
coppergardener said:They teach you all that stuff in microbiology class (wow, look at you being all big-city and educated! 😘), but if you take the sample home, fine. But if you're just filling out paperwork at the local clinic—not for a specific culture, just for a general checkup or whatever—they don't even give you a lid. So then you end up walking in there, setting a cup soaking wet with urine right on her desk—ugh, gross. And people are just shuffling through the hallway with these open cups while the waiting room is packed... I mean, imagine if someone bumps into you... when I saw that happening, I honestly just looked for my cup, bolted for the door, and thanked God for my clean bathroom at home and my basic sense of hygiene. And all those shaky elderly folks who have to go pee in the restroom there... you have to wonder how they manage to stay coordinated enough to handle it...
(I am, though I've been at the university in Chicago for two years now 😁 )
Anyway, I was just going in to get some massive bacteria tested to see what kind it was... But normally, when I go to give a sample here (it’s about every ten days 😠), they just hand you a standard plastic cup, scribble a number on it, and you basically have to scramble to finish before they call you in for bloodwork. You leave the cup on this counter that's really just a slab with numbers printed on it, and you put yours on your designated spot. But the thing is, you can already see all the other cups sitting there, and man, it's nasty. I saw colors ranging from sickly green to bright sunny yellow 😈
So, can you actually buy those cups at a pharmacy? Like, can I just walk in and ask for a specimen cup?
coppergardener said:...yeah, as far as I know, you only really need those special hygiene steps if you're doing a urine culture. Personally, I always prefer using my own little specimen cup—I just grab one at a drugstore. I honestly can't stand those "super clean" public restrooms where everyone's constantly shuffling in and out, plus I can't exactly go when I'm feeling pressured and someone's hovering right outside the door. It’s honestly pathetic they don't provide lids; maybe you could ask for one? I mean... just imagine if someone trips and splashes their business all over you.🤣 I've had to do 24-hour collections a few times too, and I've realized that even those plastic jugs they hand out aren't actually single-use. Honestly, it doesn't even look like they disinfect them properly because they still smell like old urine inside, and they don't even bother wiping off the name of the previous patient... at least that's how it goes at my local clinic. So, honestly, your best bet is just bringing your own empty Coca-Cola bottle.
Down at my local hospital, they gave me this tiny little thing, maybe 50mL, with a lid so I could just pee in it at home and bring it back. It felt brand new to me, and there wasn't even a name written on it from some other patient (over at the county health department office)

So, here's the deal 😁 one of my old coworkers managed to fix up her postpartum belly and those cellulite thighs using a super "simple" 😬 method Every single night, she would take those areas (which were definitely... let's call them "soft and jiggly"—if you want me to be polite 😁 ) and slather them in a basic cream, like that classic blue Nivea tin. Then, she'd wrap herself tightly in clear plastic kitchen wrap, pull on some leggings, throw something thick over that, and run around on the elliptical for about thirty minutes, all sweaty and bundled up The results were honestly amazing So, if you're feeling motivated... go for it! 😁 You've got the recipe now
hehe And check this out There’s this fitness studio near my place where they rub essential oils on you, wrap you in that cellophane stuff, and then make you work out... and they charge about $1 $0.00 a month 😈 🤣 🤣 🤣
