Chloe Allen said:I don't actually think that movie was all that bad. 🙂It didn't blow my mind or anything, but it's fine if you just want to kill some time. 😁

Not even for that. 👎

It’s absolute garbage—honestly, it makes me sick. It’s a total waste of space, nothing but pure commercial fluff. There isn't an ounce of actual horror in there, and frankly, it barely qualifies as a movie.
This movie is a mess—everything from the wooden, unbelievable acting to the cheap pacing and a plot that honestly could have been ten times better.

If I were, say, 12 or 13 years old, maybe this would actually impress me since it’s clearly aimed at that age group, but for anyone else? It just feels totally fake.
In terms of quality, it's right up there with "Drag Me to Hell" because they’re both equally bad. Sure, the cinematography is pretty and everything looks nice on screen, but there’s zero substance behind it. When I think back to "Halloween" (1978), man, where did all that tension and seriousness go? Even Rob Zombie did a decent job when you compare his "Halloween" (2007) to "Trick 'r Treat" (2008).

There is so much nonsense in here—just a mountain of stupidity. There isn't a single scene worth watching; it’s just mindless fluff designed to trick kids all over the country into wasting their money on a movie ticket.

All in all, it's a garbage film. I gave it a 2/10 on IMDb, and honestly, I was struggling not to give it a 1.

Jose Thomas6 said:I haven't checked out Resident Evil: Degeneration yet. I usually find animated films lacking when it comes to this kind of subject matter, but I'll give it a look just to compare it to the live-action movies. As for the original trilogy, none of them really hit the mark for me. The acting was subpar, the action felt weak, and the zombies were more laughable than scary. The whole series was a massive disappointment. If I absolutely had to pick a favorite, I’d go with the second one because of Nemesis.

Just watch it and you will see it's way more intense and generally much better overall.

Resident Evil series (2002-2008) in Movies ·
In the US, we call it Resident Evil: Degeneration, though over in Japan, they titled it Biohazard: Degeneration.👍

For me, Resident Evil is at its peak here because the plot actually holds water—plus, I’m a huge fan of the animated format.

Honestly, "Degeneration" packs way more punch than all three live-action movies combined. Not trying to sound like a broken record, but I’ve mentioned this animated flick before.

The first three entries released between 2002 and 2007 are nothing more than pale imitations of the Resident Evil games. They were a total letdown, so this animated movie felt like a breath of fresh air—just a heads-up for anyone who hasn't seen it: this isn't technically part four or a direct sequel.
Those first three movies could have been significantly better if the studios hadn't prioritized quick cash over actual quality. Between the subpar acting and the messy directing, everything was just... off. That's why I left these ratings on IMDb:

Resident Evil (2002) - 3/10
Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004) - 3/10
Resident Evil: Extinction (2007) - 3/10
Resident Evil: Degeneration (2008) - 6/10

Aaron Gonzalez6 said:It’s the same old story—people lose their minds when they think they're anonymous. They start posting every filthy little secret thinking nobody will ever track them down. Then, once they get caught, everything hits the fan because they've gone online to brag about cheating on their spouse, sleeping with the boss, or stealing stuff off the subway... just total nonsense.

And honestly, it happens all the time. 🙏😂🙏

God, it's exactly what happens when people stop using their brains and decide to act like complete idiots. 👍

I should probably go check if I mentioned which girl I was out with last night—because if my girlfriend, who thinks she's the only one, finds out, I might end up with just one woman instead of two. 🤣 (Obviously, I'm kidding, I don't do that kind of stuff 😍 ...but hey, you never know... maybe I do 😁 )

I want to set up a poll but I have no clue how to do it 🤷

Any help out there? 🙂

I was thinking about making one like: pick the best movie from this actor.
Disturbia in Movies ·
What a killer movie! 👍

I’ve seen the original "Rear Window," but honestly? I think "Disturbia" actually hits harder—it’s just better executed. Sure, it’s technically "easier" to make a remake when someone already handed you the blueprint on a silver platter, but regardless of that, "Disturbia" is a fantastic film.
Are the sequels better than the original? in Movies ·
mistydrifter73 said:I agree that sequels like The Godfather Part II, Terminator 2, X-Men 2, and Aliens actually outshine their originals. To throw some more into the ring that nobody else has mentioned yet, I’d add Back to the Future (both of them) and Gremlins 2: The New Batch—which is easily the most chaotic sequel ever!

The only thing I can't get behind is those two films I bolded, because if you ask me, the original Alien and Back to the Future are way better than their sequels.
Don't get me wrong, Aliens/Aliens 2 is an absolute blast, but the first one still holds the crown for me—the second one just forces the action too much, whereas the original felt like something totally unique. Though, honestly, we're splitting hairs here since both the first and second Alien movies are among my all-time favorites.
As for Back to the Future, the whole trilogy is stellar, but that first one is still the gold standard.

Elizabeth James95 said:Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is definitely the best one in the whole series.

Totally agree 👍
It’s tough to pick a winner because all five Harry Potter movies are fantastic, but if I'm forced to choose, it’s definitely the third one.

Oh, and I should probably mention that The Dark Knight is better than every Batman movie released so far combined.

Honestly, the funniest part is seeing Titanic sitting at number one—when I actually look at the box office numbers, I just can't wrap my head around it. The movie is nothing but pure, sugary nonsense with zero substance. 👎

It’s the exact same story with Shrek and Men in Black. Sure, maybe kids padded those numbers, but personally? None of those three wouldn't even crack my top 500, let alone the top 150, and don't even get me started on a real top 50 list.

War of the Worlds deserves way more than it made, and so does Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings—and yeah, I'm talking about the whole franchise here. There are so many movies out there that actually hold value, but I'd have to spend all day listing them if I wanted to go through them now.

The original was honestly a total disaster, but this year's remake? It’s a genuinely top-tier horror flick. 👍

I’ve already sat through it three times—it’s easily one of the best remakes I've seen in years.

If you’re actually into horror, do yourself a favor and watch it. You'll definitely dig it! 👍
I can't exactly "redefine" anything without some actual substance to work with here! You’ve given me a set of rules—which I've internalized, don't worry—but there's no source text to transform. If you want me to take a specific post and turn it into a high-octane, Americanized, rant-heavy piece of commentary, just drop the text. Once you give me the raw material, I'll get to work stripping out the foreign references, swapping in the US equivalents, and injecting that specific, hot-headed energy you're looking for. Lay it on me. What are we rewriting? kaže:
The trailer is practically screaming action at you—it’s non-stop. As for the actual plot? It looks like things are going south fast. Have you actually sat down and watched it yet? Justice League Was that actually cool? Or am I just tripping?

Honestly, this story is just incredible. 👍
I hate having to write this out—really, I do—but I'm assuming your English is good enough to actually follow what I'm saying here:

So, here’s the deal: United States President Lex Luthor decides to play dirty by using the path of a Kryptonite meteor to pin everything on Superman. He goes full villain mode, declaring a $1 billion bounty on the heads of The man of Steel and his partner in crime, Batman. It’s absolute chaos—suddenly, you’ve got heroes and villains alike launch a RELENTLESS pursuit of Superman and Batman. They’re forced to team up and scramble for backup just to survive the onslaught, stop that damn meteor, and finally expose Luthor's twisted scheme to seize control of way more than just the United States.

So, let’s talk about Superman / Batman : Public Enemies. It’s basically a direct-to-video animated take on "The World's Finest"—you know, that massive opening arc from DC Comics ' Superman / Batman -- which focuses on Superman and Batman—where the two icons have to actually play nice to stop a meteoroid from smashing into Earth and finally take down Lex Luthor, who somehow managed to get himself elected as the President of The United States. The film is The Sixth in The Lin of The DC Universe original Animated Movies Lin released by Warner Premiere and Warner Bros Animation. Now, here’s the kicker—they’ve got the original voice actors from the DCAU coming back to reprise their roles, which feels like a huge win, but don't get it twisted—this isn't actually a DCAU production. Apparently, it’s not even connected to that specific universe, other than the fact that they're using the same voices. It's like hiring the same band to play a cover song at a different club; the music sounds familiar, but the vibe is totally different.

Justice League... honestly, I don't think I've actually seen it—I just remember playing that video game back when I was a kid—but whatever, I'm about to go download it right now so I can finally sit down and watch.

I just finished watching this, and honestly, I feel like the subject matter actually deserves its own spotlight, which is why I’m starting this thread here.

I have to admit, I was pretty surprised. Since this animated flick went for that "retro" vibe, I figured it would be absolute garbage—just mindless fluff. But man, was I wrong. It's actually fantastic. If you grew up reading comics or if you're still obsessed with them today, you seriously need to check this out.👍

Look, if it's just ripping off Kill Bill, then we're probably looking at some absolute garbage.
