There were some really solid pieces in there. The appetizers actually lived up to the hype—or rather, my starving stomach. Champagne was totally fine, and the wine—some Pinot—was decent enough.
...true...and you could even get up from the table easily, no shoving required...
The movie🙏
A Hollywood spectacle at its finest. Impressive, massive, and expensive.
The cast👍
The pieces🙏 🙏 🙏
....true...
Doduše's piece—it turns out the Trojan War lasted about 2-3 weeks in the film, but whatever.
...to me, it felt more like it lasted two or three days...but hey, whatever works for them 😁
The characterization is actually great. Especially with Achilles, Hector, Helen, Paris, and Menelaus... basically all the leads.
The costumes and set design are excellent.
The vibe is spot on.
..yeah...
Even though it's nearly 3 hours long, there aren't any "dead spots," too much melodrama, cheesiness, or pointless philosophizing.
...were we watching the same movie?...😕...everything was fine until they started opening their mouths...so much dialogue trying to be 'lofty and divine,' then that bit with Helen—like, 'damn, I'll just surrender, it's my fault the war started'...blah, blah...🙂
...honestly, the worst part of the movie is when the dialogue kicks in...sure, it's Troy, but isn't this a bit much?
...still, the movie deserves a passing grade...
