... since nobody else is gonna step up...

let the hype begin...!
Man, what a dump. Honestly? It’s all about the vibe and whether you're feeling it in your gut.

Nah, my bad, my bad! I was just calling it out...

... unlike those little brats who feel the need to loudly critique the Eurovision voting scores right in the middle of a freaking concert, right?

good one.
hiddencyclist2 said:What if kids actually listened to Pink Floyd and Milesa instead? Imagine if buses just blasted Mozart all day! Then you guys—the self-proclaimed "alternative" crowd posting this stuff—would be the ones stuck listening to cheesy country music because you'd be sooooooo cool.

Man, you really gotta check out Chris Rea. I remember this one guy (maybe in his early 20s, hard to say) sitting right in front of me on the subway, just humming, "dis iz d roud--- tu hel."
Poor dude, he doesn't even realize how long ago that was.
🙂 😵 😵 🙂
etc.
Kevin Chavez3 said:Bad rock is way worse than those local garage bands, mostly because you can actually distance yourself from those guys....

hm. but what if Certain Someone actually gets goosebumps and just freezes up in pure terror the second those first few chords hit? Like, imagine them being paralyzed by fear while reliving some traumatic childhood incident involving a sequence of events like:
- a pony (part 1)
- a whip (repressed memory, unknown number of times)
- some heavy-duty pitchforks (part 3).

And all because they didn't feed him, for crying out loud!
So what then, huh? Huh?!!!

Man, that "twelve is the new eleven" disclaimer on the poster? It’s giving me seriously weird vibes.

[And that guy took the tagline off *The Core*; you know, the "the only way out is in" one. Good grief, just give me the job... what do I know? How about "he got even by getting odd"... for some Ben Stiller flick, maybe? Or a Matrix midquel. Actually, the last one sounds better, because Ben Stiller is honestly pretty cool.]

h/n: Einstürzende Neubauten - Light Aircraft on Fire (man, I wish someone would just remix this one. Don't get me wrong, the track itself is killer, but wouldn't it be wild to give it a little something extra?)
a/n: Boards of Canada - In a Beautiful Place Out in the Country (.. and here’s why. Absolute perfection.)
Song of the Week in Music ·
h~n: Postal Service / Dntel - don't get your hopes up (man, how much stuff can you actually cram into just over four minutes? It’s like those ringtone melodies just keep layering and layering and layering... and honestly, after listening to this at least 200 times, I swear there isn't even a hint of fatigue. It sounds freaking amazing!)

a~n: Aphex Twin - i care because you do. Honestly, I'm only here because it mentions 'Alberta Balsam'. Okay, fine, maybe it's also because of the other ten tracks too, geez...

This one totally wrecked me—in the best way possible! It was amazing. But honestly? No more Big Mac for a lot of people I know after seeing this. 🙂

Bollocks.
I haven't watched the movie yet, but from what I've heard, the guy basically just lives at McDonald's for a few weeks straight.
Great.
Bravo.

It’s pretty funny how it doesn't actually prove anything other than the fact that a crappy diet can wreck your health—whether it's McDonald's or that "healthy" organic plant crap Mavrovic grows on his farm.

Holy crap! This is hands down the most diplomatic thing feralgardener502 has ever posted!!! Who are you even scared of, feralgardener502?

I can't say. They're watching me.
Peach Pit in Music ·
ahem..
okay, maybe I’m just being totally ridiculous.. but did anyone else think that Peach Pit thing with that scruffy little one-man bandit on the mic sounded kind of Trail of Dead-ish?
[I mean, aside from that tiny resemblance—not that it didn't sound great. Actually, it was awesome. Even that "Sweet Home Alabama" bit wasn't... bad at all 🙂]

And as for Peach Pit themselves? Hands down the tightest band I've ever laid eyes on. Like, seriously. They play everything so...
insanely tight.

But man. If they could just, like, slow waaaaaaaay down just a tiny bit with all that... all that stuff they do. I mean, can they even play the same four bars twice in a row? Or were they born with that constant frantic energy, right along with their umbilical cord and whatever else? 🙂
I feel like if they actually started writing... you know... songs that aren't so damn elusive, then we'd really be in trouble.
Not saying that elusive vibe doesn't have its charm, but hey, I'm just a simple guy...

The Zombie Survival Guide

Mmmhmm.

But honestly? I’m pretty sure the crew from Land of the Dead—given how much "talent" they have—would totally lean into some accidental self-harm scenarios.
I can *totally* see one of them trying to figure out how to handle a handgun, pointing it right at their own goofy face, thumb hovering over the trigger like, "Let's see what this does..." and then—BOOM. Total accident!

cosmictrucker132 said:Since they didn't mention his name, can anyone tell me if they recognized who he was based on that description?

stephen lynch

It's like these little folk-comedy sketches with a dark twist: stories about deadbeat dads, Indian taxi drivers, buddies with special needs, you name it...

It's fine for a one-time watch, but honestly, nothing more than that. And really just for watching, because the guy is way too... I don't know, "visual" when he performs his lyrics.
A buddy of mine downloaded two of his albums and man, it was just boring.

Basically, what people call a: one trick pony.

edit: I think that comedian's special is called something like stephen lynch's
songs/tales(?) of [something] and questionable nature. So yeah.

Just so you know, I hate you. 🙂

Anyway, let me know how it was! I gotta know—does he just cycle through the same old tired bits, or does he actually have some fresh stuff in the repertoire?
