After poking around this subject for several years now—digging through everything from films about Jesus and Easter movies to stuff about Maria or Christmas and various saints—I’ve landed on a pretty specific conclusion: you can find maybe 5,000 titles that have some sort of connection to the Bible but if we’re being honest, less than 1% of those actually qualify as real movies—meaning they were actually made for theaters and played on a big screen somewhere in the world for at least a day everything else is just MINISERIES, TV movies, cartoons, animated series, or those weird artistic projects I don't even know how to categorize (like when the "actors" are just wooden puppets or those animal movies with rabbits, or those generic Christmas movies that don't even touch on religion)
Honestly, I’m convinced nobody could dig up more than 50 decent biblical films that actually meet the criteria I just laid out
I personally managed to find about 25 for Jesus maybe ten for Maria and fewer than 10 regarding the Resurrection
So, looking at the big picture, I'd say there are maybe 30 solid titles out there dealing with biblical themes
I didn't really catch the whole "sixth" sense thing while I was watching—and honestly, figuring out the plot isn't even my thing I just enjoy the ride, you know?
And look, After Earth wasn't actually that bad in my book
I don't get why everyone is constantly tearing this guy down
I still remember Happening as a decent movie—not sure what the big deal was with people hating on it either
I actually think Happening is great my favorite is definitely Zootopia haven't gotten around to watching Lady Bird yet as for the others, I’ve caught some in theaters but honestly, they kind of blur together after a while
Movies, man... it’s alright, I guess. It does its thing and moves on. It’s got some decent moments—honestly, it’s weird how much it sticks with me, even though I saw it way back when it first hit theaters.
I’d actually consider picking up a magazine if it were worth the damn money —not just some recycled garbage scraped from the internet or some forum thread that was poorly translated
Movies are generally better, more substantial, and tend to hold up longer—I mean, who’s actually sitting down to watch some random TV series from the 1940s? Series feel more modern and they're definitely what everyone is obsessed with right now...
Because technology keeps evolving, TV shows are slowly starting to hit quality levels that used to be reserved for the big screen plus, you see more and more A-list actors jumping over to TV because, let's be honest, the paychecks can be just as massive... and there's always the hope that a second season brings even more work and money 😁
Anyway, just throwing this out there for a broader debate 😁
Commune (Paris, 1871), La (2000) 😁 345 min 🙂Fanny Alexander Directors Cut (1982) 300 min Until the End of the World (1991)—honestly, this one's a total slog at 280 minutes 😁That’s basically everything I've got.
The movie was just... meh. Nothing special. It’s one of those things you watch once and then immediately forget about. Honestly, I’m almost glad I had those technical issues earlier—you know, when the subtitles wouldn't load properly because of the file type. Such a weird format to deal with, especially back during that era when everyone was obsessed with those tiny 350 MB rips.
Man, I’ve noticed this too maybe it's just because we're seeing more girls and kids weighing in than usual but usually, TV shows don't attract nearly as many haters as movies do, for example it's mostly just fans
Nothing special, really reminded me of Wir Sind Die Nacht
It’s a bit pathetic that she’s such a bitch, and even after 200 years she still couldn't figure things out better😁—maybe if she'd actually finished school or something
Yeah, yeah... I avoided watching it for the longest time. I actually ended up snagging tickets for the sneak previews and everything 😁
but it wasn't until years later—once all that massive hype finally died down—that I figured, alright, let's just give it a shot and see if it's actually worth the fuss. It’s a great movie.
Man, when I think back to the looks on everyone's faces as we were walking out of the theater One guy was actually cursing out his friend for dragging him there in the first place 😁> And I got roasted too, just because I had the nerve to say it would be good
She used to be an absolute powerhouse especially back in '98 during 😁 when I caught > playing on TV again it’s actually the opposite she just doesn't hit the same way for me anymore—not like she did in '97, and honestly, not even now that she’s older whereas > just seems to keep getting better with age😁
They basically used anonymous extras because that was just the easiest way to break into the industry back then.
I mean, after the third installment, Neve Campbell says she’ll never do a fourth one... and then, lo and behold, she ends up filming the fourth movie. Maybe she just got bored with all those other projects—you know, like that one where everyone was wondering who sank Mona.😁
