I took a quick peek at the cam-rip, just scrolling through a good chunk of the movie while squinting my eyes through the screen 🙂 ...and honestly, it’s alright, and more importantly, it actually made me laugh.
That said, I think I'll hold off until a decent DivX or H.264 version pops up so I can actually see what's going on.
It looks like it could be a total blast of a comedy, but honestly, I won't know for sure until I actually sit down and give it a watch, right?
Right now, the only thing floating around online is a grainy cam-rip, so I think I'll just hold off until a decent high-def version drops so I can actually enjoy the movie properly.
Genre: Comedy Directors: Bobby Farrelly, Peter Farrelly Starring: Owen Wilson, Jason Sudeikis and Christina Applegate
Synopsis:
So, picture this: best friends Rick and Fred have both been happily married for ages, right? But lately, things at home have started feeling a little... restless. To shake things up and spice their marriages back to life, their wives decide to pull a total power move and give the guys a "hall pass"—basically a one-week free pass to do whatever they want, no strings attached and absolutely no questions asked afterward! At first, Rick and Fred think they've hit the absolute jackpot, but man, do they quickly realize that their wild fantasies about bachelor life are nothing like the chaotic reality they actually end up facing. Isn't that just classic?
Rachel Ortiz33 said:It was a bit predictable, I guess, but they kept things creative enough to keep me hooked the whole way through I usually don't vibe with these American animated flicks, but honestly, Toy Story 3 was the only one from last year that actually hit the mark for me
Haha, hey now, it's an animated movie—isn't it kind of expected that you can see where things are headed?
Seriously, we're looking at less than 30 days now, and I’m already bracing myself for the first cam version to pop up online for download. Don't get me wrong, I usually can't stand cam-rips, but honestly? I might just grab one just to get a quick sneak peek, then wait for the real deal once the first DivX or H.264 version hits the web.

Man, I am right there with you! After that first viewing, I was kind of just sitting there like, "is this it?" but once I saw it again, it was easily twice as good.
I’m actually planning on giving it another spin later today.
Is it seriously possible that this few people actually sat down to watch such an incredible animated flick? 🤷
Seriously though, if anyone out there caught Megamind and just totally blanked on leaving a review, please, do me a favor and drop a comment! I’d honestly love to hear what you guys thought about it.

I totally get where you're coming from, 👍 man!
I was actually just checking IMDb right now, and yikes—it's sitting at a 4.7/10 based on over 6,000 votes. Can you believe that?

Man, I just finished watching this and I’ve gotta say, I was totally caught off guard by how awesome it actually was! 👍
I had such a great time with it that I honestly didn't want it to end, and I was almost ready to hit play again immediately because it just hooked me so hard. Honestly, if we're talking animation, this might be one of the best things I've seen in at least five years. 👍
My value/quality rating: 5/10 My rating for the animation genre: 8/10
It was an okay flick, pretty interesting though. Since Radjen based it on some true story/event, it definitely adds a layer of intrigue to the whole plot.
The directing and the acting were solid—honestly, you could even say they were really good—but I still can't help feeling like the whole thing could have been pushed a little further to be truly great. Since I wasn't familiar with this specific incident beforehand, I'm not entirely sure if the movie stayed true to the facts or if they took a lot of liberties with how things actually went down.
All in all, I walked away feeling pretty satisfied with the experience. If you don't go in with crazy high expectations, you'll probably find yourself enjoying it; definitely worth a watch in my book. 👍
Ugh, man, I totally thought this was dropping at the start of the year, but then I just saw it's actually slated for the very end of the year.
I can't help but wonder, though... is this actually going to be any good? Like, will it be better than that last one—you know, the one that was "funny" in all the wrong ways?—or could it somehow manage to be even worse if we're lucky? One thing is for sure, though: the kids in this are definitely going to be cool.
Man, I totally blanked on this movie! Has anyone actually summoned the courage—and found enough spare time to just kill an afternoon—to sit down and watch it?
I mean, is it actually decent for a first watch, you know, just something fun to zone out to if you need to pass the time? 🤷
So, I finally sat down and watched this one a few days ago, and honestly? I was expecting way more than what actually showed up on screen.
I mean, look, it’s fine if you just want to zone out for a couple of hours and have some mindless fun, I guess. There's definitely action happening, don't get me wrong, but man, it could have been so much better than this. To be totally real with you guys, this is actually one of those rare action flicks that I honestly thought was worse than The Expendables. The plot itself has some interesting bits, but there were so many moments where it just felt incredibly dull and dragged on forever.
Honestly? It was a total mixed bag—there were bits that actually grabbed my attention, but then it just dragged on and became super boring. It’s definitely one of those movies you put on when you just need to kill some time, maybe watch it once or twice more if you're really bored, but that's about it.
Kyle Martin2 said:I’ve always been a huge fan of The Muppets. Honestly, it's pretty wild how much Jim Henson and his studio achieved just through puppetry. I grew up watching The Muppet Show, The Storyteller, and basically every movie coming out of his studio. Later on, he really started pushing the envelope with animatronics, which you can clearly see in the '86 film Labyrinth and then in that late '90s sci-fi series Farscape—which his son Brian worked on. By then, the animatronics had leveled up significantly, blending with CGI to build these incredible, imaginative worlds. I never would have pegged Jason Segel as someone to jump into The Muppets, but hey, here we are. After the Farscape era, the Jim Henson Company kind of went quiet, so maybe this will finally introduce a new generation of kids to The Muppets and the fun side of puppetry.
mistyhound2 said:I mean, I don't know... it didn't exactly jump out at me as being total garbage while I was watching. It’s just that one photo, man. It made the whole thing look way worse than it actually is. I guess it just looked like that. Who knows? 🤷 I haven’t even stopped to ask myself if this is some kind of massive disaster or whatever. Not once. But hey, I’m just a total amateur here, so maybe I’m just blind to all the red flags that the real experts are staring right in the face.
So, alright, look... it was watchable. Actually pretty funny, in its own way. I only ended up sitting through the whole thing because my kid was practically begging me to go see it. 😁I honestly wouldn't have even remembered it if it wasn't for the cartoons... my brain just wipes that stuff clean. But hey, I watched it. It was decent enough, and I don't regret sitting through it. Not like I went in expecting some cinematic masterpiece or anything.🙂
Well, duh, that's exactly why they made it—for kids! But then us old folks want everything to be amazing too, right? We're grown up now and aren't kids anymore, so we end up thinking stuff is lame just because it's aimed at a younger crowd. 😉
I definitely need to catch this once the first high-quality rip hits the torrent sites.
gentlebadger88 said:Total waste of time. Just finished watching it today. I mean, sure, there’s plenty of action, the cast isn't even terrible, and you can tell the production value was high... but still. That main villainess—you know, the one from Supernatural and The Vampire Diaries—was just gross. Honestly, I thought the first movie was better, though this one wasn't a complete disaster either. If you live for mindless action, I guess it's a hit for you 🙂. Oh, and regarding that comparison between Joan Allen and the driver... there is absolutely zero connection there. Near the end, the villain (September Jones) says she’s going to call Joan Allen to be the manager (she even shows a photo), so it hasn't been that long, maybe a few years at most. I really don't get why people are trying to link those two, but whatever...
I'm totally with you on that! 👍
And just to wrap this all up for comparison—let's settle it once and for all: which one of them is actually the better catch? 😁
Has anyone else actually sat down and watched this movie yet? Seriously, I’ve been dying to know if anyone else caught it! Honestly, if you ask me, this one is way better than something like The Expendables. Seriously, how can anyone even compare them?
