Simon, look, I get that you’re spooked right now. You don't know what's going on with your girlfriend, but you have to realize that everything you're writing here is scattered and honestly doesn't make sense. We've got actual doctors chiming in on this thread, and they aren't trying to pick on you—they just can't wrap their heads around what you're actually asking or what the situation is. (I'm just a layman, so some of the stuff you wrote is totally incoherent to me).
Do yourself a favor: sit down and write a longer, more detailed post where you actually explain things clearly. For instance, what on earth does a transplant have to do with developing leukemia? (I mean, do you see how that lacks any logic?? First off, I'm assuming you meant a transfusion rather than a transplant, though maybe I'm wrong; second, please clarify how leukemia fits in since you were talking about anemia earlier). If you lay it out properly, people might actually be able to give you a meaningful response or some useful advice.
I actually put in the work and read through every single post here.
bluemoose21 honestly, I’d do the exact same thing Sophia Wells72 did. If my boyfriend pulled stuff like this, I’d dump him on the spot just so he wouldn't have to deal with the fallout. You should be embarrassed. I'm assuming this is a girl you actually care about, yet when she’s scared and needs you to back her up, you’re just mocking her like she’s some kind of pariah. First off, you clearly have no clue what you're talking about. Do yourself a favor, open Google, and search for CIN 1 to see how this whole thing starts; right now, you just look ridiculous (and that's being polite). A friend of mine dealt with CIN 2 because of a bacterial imbalance—it's the kind of bacteria that lives naturally in the body, but once the good flora gets wiped out, these things take over and cause all kinds of inflammation and nonsense (look up Gardnerella vaginalis if you want to learn something). If my husband acted the way you are, I’d be filing for divorce immediately, because some cheating jerk is probably infecting him with god knows what. 😲 🤦
We seriously need better sex ed in American schools. It's pathetic how many people are completely clueless and then try to project that ignorance onto everyone else.

That’s exactly my point. The owner would be begging for this setup within a week. All the mods would just dump people like that onto him because nobody wants to deal with that level of headache.
And honestly? If someone attacks a "protected" user, I wouldn't hesitate to throw a card back at them. People should be allowed to defend themselves when they aren't permitted to push back against those who are untouchable. Just imagine what this place would look like in a month if we all played by these rules—I highly doubt the lead moderator would be the only one trying to maintain some semblance of order.

Then you’d tell the boss to start moderating the protected users. 😬 Honestly, I think both the boss and the protected ones would be regretting that move pretty quickly.
Have you checked your blood pressure lately? Every time mine drops, I feel this insane craving where I just want to lick salt straight out of the shaker because my body is screaming for something savory. 🤷
Amy Rivera66 said:I think it’s high time the mods face reality: the search function is absolute garbage and basically useless. 😬 I can find what I need on Google faster than I can through this forum's own search tool. 🤣
Even searching by thread titles isn't terrible, but trying to find a specific term within a topic? It's a complete disaster.
If I start calling out everyone’s nonsense, this whole thread is going to turn gray from all the garbage you've posted. First off, stick to the topic. Nobody cares what you do for fun in your spare time. If you're really that desperate to gossip, go over to the Chicken Coop—there's a dedicated thread for mindless chatter if you want to talk nonsense until next Tuesday. Not here. Second, let me be crystal clear: if I see people throwing around insults like "degenerate" or whatever else in this thread again, you're getting an automatic ban. Don't act like you didn't know.
fadedtrucker12 said:Look, I thought I found it, not that I discovered it myself. And what do you mean "super doctor"? I'm not even a doctor; I just said I heard about this from an acquaintance. Who do you think you are, insulting me like that? I wasn't talking about a cold shower, I was talking about ice. "My extensive experience shows that some creams work better than others—they all have a bit of anesthetic to ease symptoms, and only long-term use proves whether they actually work or not. My choice eventually comes down to Proctolyn, but you can't find it here. And they definitely don't 'lubricate' anything!!" — What kind of "experience" is that? Are you a doctor or just some self-proclaimed expert? Then there's this: "I would also emphasize: even though they haven't receded—nor will they—I have still disciplined them so they don't aggravate things like cracking and bleeding. The experiment involved adding a small amount of Vazogel, or any vein gel, to the cream." — Doctor or "expert"? By the way, we call that a quack if we're being honest and trying to sound smart. And the FO admin
Very nice. For someone who claims to be offended by others' insults, you handled that beautifully.
First off, the moderators here are volunteers. They have lives, jobs, and they aren't glued to their computers 24/7. If they didn't react to something the exact second you decided it was an issue, that doesn't give you the right to tell them to get lost. Next time you act like this, you'll be the one getting cooled off, and then we'll see who's telling whom to back off.
Linda Price5 said:The current layout makes zero sense to me. Why start with sex, then lonely singles, then marriage? It’s like they think life follows a straight line. Honestly, we should just move the divorce section over to the USA subforum. Having politics, linguistics, and history sandwiched between LJS, the USA, the IRS, and Women's Interests is just messy. It lacks logic. Plus, that thread about mothers-in-law really belongs under Weddings, and we should call it Beware.
🤣
Sorry to the mods for jumping in here, but I had to. This was too well put. 😁
Besides, you can't please everyone regarding how things should be ordered. Personally, I'm fine with it the way it is. 🤷
Aaron Harris2 said:Basically, this isn't some sudden pivot. This was already baked into the plan when we expanded the Food & Dining subforum a few years back. It likely would have never gained traction over in the Health section anyway—not at least not on this scale.
To add to that, I was chatting with some of the other moderators, and we all agreed that if we kept the Food & Health subforum in its current state, it wouldn't be sustainable. We'd eventually have to split the topics up regardless.
I think this is actually the cleanest way to handle it, since that specific subforum covers more than just health—it gets into deep dives on individual ingredients too.
Why don't you try looking here: Messages, complaints, comments if you want to ask what, how, or why. 🙂 Look, this is just how things worked before I became a regular user, let alone a moderator, and the folks over there can give you a much better breakdown of why they posted that PDF under Gastronomy instead of Health.
I mean, look, this was already the way things were before I even joined the forum. It fits in there just as much as it does here, but since they’re the ones actually talking about food over on that board, it just makes more sense for that PDF to live with them. 🙂
