Parenting and upbringing tips!! in Feedback & Suggestions ·

If I complain about some trash left on the street because someone's being fake
WHAT DOES MY UPBRINGING HAVE TO DO WITH IT!?!?!!?

Factually? Zero. How you’re raised—and honestly, it's not just about home life—definitely dictates how you present your arguments, no matter what the topic is.
The bank is taking my entire paycheck... in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Kimberly King said:Of course, I was actually at the bank just a few months ago, signing a formal request to roll my overdraft—which was sitting at 13 $0.00 back then—into a 12-month installment plan. They gave me their word they’d call me in to sign the actual contract. Well, naturally, the phone never rang... and then this whole mess happens. To make matters even more ridiculous, I actually had to sit there and try to educate the tellers at the counter, proving to them that under JPMorgan Chase's own policies and standard banking procedures, a 12-month repayment option is perfectly valid. They fought me tooth and nail, trying to insist that 6 months was the only way. It wasn't until I practically wore them down with sheer persistence that I proved I was right, which really just highlighted how little they actually know about their own business model.

I actually tried to fix the situation through another institution. Bank of America had offered me a loan to consolidate everything and pay off what I owed to JPMorgan Chase if I switched over to them. But the staff at JPMorgan Chase told me straight up that there was no way to settle the debt via Mastercard upfront; they insisted it had to be paid through installments until the end. So, I walked away from that deal. And yet, suddenly, out of nowhere, an upfront payment is totally fine when it conveniently suits their bottom line?

I’ve been chipping away at these loans for nearly two years now; the longest one runs for three. The interest rates are 10%, and those have already been covered, but instead of letting me finish, they just lumped the principal together, dumped it into my checking account, shoved me into a massive negative balance, and now they're going to start charging me interest all over again on that exact same debt.

So, who exactly is playing whom here??

I find it hard to believe that everything is being handled according to regulation when you see customers having to teach bank employees how to do their jobs because they're so uninformed and clueless.

It isn't true that I haven't tried to get this sorted. But am I really expected to run down to the bank every single day, constantly looking over my shoulder, terrified they'll screw me over again and bury me in debt?

If they hadn't pulled this stunt, I would have cleared that 10 $0.00 overdraft next week and just kept making my regular Mastercard payments like a good citizen. Now, I honestly don't know how I'm going to manage.

It’s just wrong that they didn't follow up with me to sign the agreement I requested. I sat there like an idiot waiting for a call that was never coming, only to be blindsided by this.

And just to be clear, I am fully aware of the interest rates I'm paying; I knew what I was getting into. It's not the interest itself that I'm complaining about, but the fact that they've engineered a situation where I'm essentially paying twice: once through the Mastercard agreement (10%), and now through these penalty interest charges for an "unauthorized" overdraft that will hit me for $333 every three months. What am I even doing this miserable job for if they can just fleece me whenever they feel like it?

As far as I understand, they aren't even allowed to take my entire paycheck; per US law, they should only be able to touch about a third, regardless of how much I owe. Even with a court-ordered garnishment, it's limited to that 1/3. So, by what authority are they taking the whole thing?

Nice. A win for the underdog. But seriously, why didn't you push harder to actually get that contract signed? I mean, you basically proved them wrong—showed everyone that what they claimed was impossible could actually happen—but did it even do anything for you? Not really.

It’s not like they're stupid or clueless. They know exactly what's going on. They're just doing it for their boss. There's a huge difference there.

See? Exactly. That’s why that old saying exists: if you actually want something to get finished, you’ve gotta roll up your sleeves and do it yourself.

Man, I feel for you. Seriously, being stuck in a hole like this sucks. But look, once you finally claw your way out of this mess, just make sure you actually learn something from it. Take the lesson to heart so you don't end up repeating the same stupid mistakes for the rest of your life.

So, everything’s been laid out, right? Great. Peace out.

Look, sorry, but I don't moderate anything over at Kindle, and I’m definitely not an admin, so that’s why I’m asking.

Like I said, they wiped enough of my stuff to make it look like I was inciting a riot or something. 😂
The whole "sacred cow of R&D" thing is an insult to me, yet it just stays there, untouched.
If I push back, my reply gets deleted and I get a strike. 🙄
It’s always like this on R&D. I tried pointing it out before, but one of the R&D moderators is also an admin here at the FBI, so she just shut the thread down.😉

Which one exactly?

Michelle Alvarez8, look, I specifically asked to be assigned to Seth. If someone tries to suck up to Anderson and then points the finger at me, that’s on them. 😁
Look, man, I’ve said my piece. That's all there is to it.

I'm done. I've had it.
Enough with the bullshit. Honestly, you should be embarrassed even trying to talk like that, let alone thinking you have the right to post complaints. People like you aren't welcome here.
Moderator Update in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Good thing you sent me a PM, otherwise I wouldn't have caught this until later. Like I said recently, any polls about someone's shift are a total waste of time and honestly just unwanted here. If you've got a specific gripe with a moderator, just say it, but these vague, general rants aren't allowed. Plus, you're inviting people to a chat, which is also against the rules on this subforum. I'm locking this thread. Thanks for understanding, everyone.

Look, none of these polls are gonna touch anyone's shifts. Period. Thanks for finally getting that.
Do admins ever actually listen to user feedback? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Alright, I’ve had it. Look, the admins will listen to you if they actually think you have a point. Other times? They couldn't care less. So, please, just stop posting on this subforum from now on. Thanks for understanding.
How do I report a moderator? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Alright, let's wrap this up. You can file a report against a moderator right here on this sub. Just a heads-up though: if the admin team decides to ignore you or handles the complaint in a way you don't like, the case is closed. That’s it. It’s considered unfounded at that point. Thanks for bearing with me.

Alex Barnes8, look, I wasn't trying to get involved in your business. I figured you were just pissed and would cool off, but since you won't let it go, I actually went back and checked pages 50 and 51 like you said I should, and here's what I found:

So, this was the post directed at you:

Hey, just chill out for a second.
I didn't call you out first, and I definitely wasn't attacking you.
You just felt targeted and jumped into my thread.
You don't need to overthink anything.
Maybe you just don't have the headspace right now to look at the big picture, because you're being all idealistic and biased, just charging in with your opinion. It seems like you've got plenty of energy for attacks and aggression, which usually means there's zero capacity for actual thinking—you're probably young, so I get it. Just try to relax and re-read the posts on this topic.

Look, I have nothing against you personally, so let's not fight.

And you respond with:

You aren't just crazy, you're twisted and rude. It's unbelievable how much you lie and twist everything. Stop insulting me and attacking me. Leave me alone.

That post of yours was deleted and scrubbed (which is honestly being pretty lenient given how you talk to people). If that post is your idea of "proving" you can be civil and respectful without insulting others, please, seriously, rethink the way you talk to people in a discussion.

Best,
