Look, I’m asking you all—please, just stop filing complaints or requests on behalf of other people. There’s a reason Quark is a permanent ban, and there’s a very good reason why they were handed those partial bans in the first place. Privacy is one of the absolute pillars of this forum, and honestly, anyone who keeps sticking their nose where it doesn't belong and leaking someone else's info shouldn't even be here. This wasn't some one-time fluke or a simple misunderstanding, either. It wasn't "just" a small mistake, either.
I missed your post over on the main board, but I've gone ahead and fixed everything now. Regarding your questions about why certain threads were locked or left unmoderated, you've already received an explanation via private message—there's really no need to go over the same thing twice. As for anything else, the moderators and the staff from Women's Corner will get back to you when they have a moment; they don't necessarily have to jump on it immediately.

Look, quoting isn't against the rules here. Honestly, I feel like you're blowing things way out of proportion. I'm closing this thread because you aren't actually giving me anything substantial to work with.
Gregory Ramirez2 said:I checked there a while ago, but it wasn't explained nearly as well as you just did right here! 👍 The way they have it there—just one way to multiquote a single post—is honestly kind of useless to me, because all those quoted sections turn into this massive gray/blue blob on my screen, making the actual post totally unreadable 🙄
That button is right here:
The text only pops up once you hover your mouse over the quote area.
Hallelujah! 🙏 I was looking for it down below because that's how it looked in some other people's posts 🕺
I really think your explanation should be posted officially—like, added to those existing multiquote guides you linked to here.
It would make life so much easier for all the newbies, like me "tech-illiterates," 🙂 Thanks so much for the reply and for taking the time to help! 🙂
Oh, don't even mention it! I'm honestly just really happy I could be of some help. 🙂
The Moderator basically gave you both a one-post "get out of jail free" card just to keep you from getting banned entirely. Honestly, I’d say things were handled pretty fairly since they didn't play favorites and give one of you a pass while punishing the other, so let's just call it even and move on. Of course, Equi is more than welcome to jump back into that locked thread if they feel like they still have something left to say.
Yeah, his language was definitely "sharper" than it needed to be, and honestly, it felt totally uncalled for. In that specific moment, there wasn't anything positive he could have contributed to the conversation; it was all just unnecessary noise.
Gregory Ramirez2 said:How do I multi-quote one single post? Like, if a post is super long, how can I reply to specific parts of it separately?
I've looked everywhere, but I just can't find it. I even checked here, but I don't have that checkbox for "Wrap tags around selected text." The last box I see in the bottom right is "Quick reply to this message." I tried highlighting the specific text I want to quote and clicking that button, but absolutely nothing happens.
Next to that button, I’ve got the "Multiquote" and "Quote" options sitting to the left.
The Multiquote thing works fine when I'm trying to grab multiple different posts, but it won't let me multiquote within a single post.
I actually already got a warning on the forum because I couldn't figure out how to multiquote one post, so I just split it up with dashes instead—and the same moderator who gave me the warning hasn't even replied to my PM about it! I really don't want to rack up any more useless strikes just because of this "glitch." 🤦
Somebody Help me, please? 🕺
Btw I'm using Google Chrome on Windows 8
PS: A few times I've just resorted to copy-pasting the same post over and over, quoting it multiple times, and then manually deleting all the extra stuff I don't need from each block. But man, that takes forever—it totally kills the mood for quoting and makes it such a chore to respond to those longer posts.
They’ve already given you an answer, but honestly... In this thread... You can actually find answers to just about any question you have regarding how to use the forum right here. If you're looking for a breakdown on how the multiquote feature works, I've got a full explanation waiting for you! Here?.

I still can't wrap my head around these rules, even if I realize that rules must be obeyed. There’s way too much subjectivity and not nearly enough objectivity here; everything just devolves into anonymous whining. You aren't even allowed to know who got flagged or what kind of punishment they actually received. The moderators are clearly tight with certain users on this forum. Chatova shows up in every single thread, sometimes more than others. This is supposed to be a conversation, and let's be honest, it's almost impossible to maintain that without constantly tripping over rigid, stifling rules. Some people get slapped with penalties just because a moderator doesn't like them—can you believe that? They cite "their writing style" as a reason to hand out a ban. And don't even get me started on how these moderators handle criticism; they can't take it, so they just go on the offensive to protect themselves. "It's beneath me to report posts." It isn't "beneath" me to report posts; I just didn't feel like wasting my damn time doing it. It didn't seem important to me. And frankly, it's cowardly. But yeah, fine, these are the rules. The whole point is basically, "I'm going to sue you." 😁
Look, at the end of the day, everyone is responsible for their own mistakes and the penalties that come with them. There’s really no point in us all getting bogged down in endless debates about what someone else should be paying or how they got caught. It's just a waste of energy to argue over other people's business when we should be focusing on our own stuff.

That doesn't mean they get to play by a different set of rules.

Look, getting those notifications and alerts is honestly such a lifesaver for us. We can't exactly have eyes on everything twenty-four seven, right? Things are bound to slip through the cracks sometimes if we aren't careful, so having those updates pop up is the only way we make sure nothing important gets missed.
Give that PDF a solid read-through to get familiar with all the rules, and then just give me a shout once you're feeling ready to kick off the thread according to everything laid out in there.
Just because some messages are older doesn't mean they're irrelevant. Honestly, it isn't that hard to stay on top of your inbox and just clear out the stuff you don't need anymore.
Basically, if someone tries to shoot you a DM while your inbox is already totally maxed out, the system will automatically fire off an email to let you know what happened.
