Hamed Bangoura He launched a petition on Facebook demanding new elections in the United States. His proposal is blunt: no current political party should be allowed to run. He’s calling for all existing parties to commit to a voluntary four-year moratorium on their political activity.

------------------------

To the politicians in charge,

First, allow me to thank you for twenty-three years of relentless looting and the systematic dismantling of one of the most beautiful nations on Earth—a country that feels like God crafted it on his final Friday afternoon. Thanks to your esteemed political leadership, instead of being the crown jewel of the EU, we have become its laughingstock and its servant.

Let me be clear: your citizens are exhausted. They are drained, cheated, and utterly fed up. For twenty-three years, they’ve been subjected to the same relentless cycle—the same political players, the same cronyism, and the same recycled personnel. It’s like being stuck in a bad marriage with the same partner who refuses to change. So far, I am being polite and keeping my composure. I will try my best to maintain this tone.

When I talk about rough sex, there’s a specific term for when a handful of you take turns on one person—it's called a relay. That’s not group sex. In group sex, everyone actually enjoys themselves. This is just a relay, where you politicians line up to take turns brutally violating us.

Unfortunately, this kind of sexual relationship isn't something a nation enjoys; it’s pure suffering, akin to being victimized by assault. It isn't just about the immediate pain. It creates deep-seated trauma that, much like the lasting scars left on a survivor, leaves permanent damage. Because of this, the nation will struggle immensely to ever find true love or experience a healthy, normal connection again.

To our dear politicians: I have a suggestion. If you actually care about the prosperity and future of this country, my proposal is simple. Organize new elections in the US immediately.

I propose a total moratorium on anyone currently in politics—or anyone who has ever held office—running in these upcoming elections. It shouldn't matter if they held executive power or just sat in a legislative seat. We need a voluntary ban on all political parties and individuals who have been active in this system over the last 23 years.

There will be a four-year moratorium on elections for you and your party members. After that period concludes, you may reapply for candidacy, allowing the public to vote you back into the very power you seem so fond of holding.

Four years is enough time. If we can bring in honest, capable, and skilled leaders—people who actually know what they're doing—we could finally decontaminate this country. We need fresh programs and progressive ideas. With a few radical measures, we wouldn't just be making incremental changes for the next decade; we would be pulling this nation a full 180 degrees in the right direction.

If they fail, you’ll be back in four years. We’ll go right back to accepting your order, falling in line without a single complaint or second thought.

What’s your argument? You can't honestly claim this isn't a fair shake. It’s a fair deal for a public that’s fed up with every administration they’ve ever had and is desperate for a fresh start. It’s also a fair deal for you. You get a vacation—a chance to step away from the grind of manual labor, recharge your batteries, and find enough strength to pick up right where you left off if this new, untainted government fails to deliver.

I’ll end this letter with a simple request. I am asking my friends, my followers, and everyone in their circles to help push this civic concept forward. If we can hit 20,000 likes and shares, it proves there is genuine appetite for the idea. From there, we might actually have the leverage to trigger a meaningful referendum.

Forgive the intrusion, but we only want to reach our retirement years in peace and ensure our children actually stand a fighting chance.

I hope you grasp the intent behind this request. Please share this letter with your members; I suspect most will find themselves in agreement with this initiative. Many of them feel betrayed as well—there are still those among them who possess a sense of morality and a genuine desire for progress.

PS: I posted this late tonight rather than during business hours specifically so nobody could claim I was cheating the system. Cheers. Please feel free to share if you find this worthwhile.
I am all for tearing down any incompetent government. My only issue is that I don't see anyone capable of stepping up to actually fix things—it’s just the same old who should we even vote for? 🤷
Replacing the Republican Party with the Democratic Party isn't the solution. We finally need a third option to emerge.

Abolish both the partisan and the fascist Rockefeller pensions. I want to know who is actually collecting these checks. 99% of those fighting in World War II are already six feet under. Are we paying their children, grandchildren, or great-grandchildren now?

Can we fix the crisis by using the Canadian model? in Close to Politics ·
Our deficit and unemployment rates are double those of Canada.

The American recession shows no signs of letting up, and Joe Biden’s administration continues to stumble, searching for any way to jumpstart an economy stuck in a deep depression. The economic guidelines proposed to pull the country out of the mud it has been sinking in since 2009 offer little hope; they feel like nothing more than pouring water into a sieve.

Look at our neighbors.

If the American president wants a blueprint for active economic policy, he doesn't need to look far—just head across the border to 249 miles Canada. Unlike the US and Canada, where leftist administrations are still grappling with recession, Canada is led by the conservative Viktor Orban, who isn't afraid to take radical steps to fight a crisis. When Orban took power with the Republican Party, he inherited a mess much like what Joe Biden faced after defeating the Republican Party in the elections. Sky-high public debt, falling production, job losses, cratering consumption... Instead of playing the blame game and pointing fingers at the previous administration, Orban went straight to war with a crisis that had long since evolved from an economic issue into a social one. During his first year, Orban launched sweeping reforms. He drafted a 30-point economic program, and his first move was slashing taxes for small businesses, since they employ the bulk of the population. He nearly halved that tax rate, dropping it from 19 percent to 10 percent, while also introducing a measure that seems socially abrasive at first glance.

Rather than maintaining three different income tax brackets, he implemented a flat 16 percent tax. Workers protested, but the results spoke for themselves: the wealthy began creating jobs, and unemployment dropped. Orban’s second move was an all-out assault on the financial sector. He took a hard line against the IMF and the big banks. He imposed taxes on banks and insurance companies. Bankers were outraged, and voices from the European Union claimed Orban was dragging the country back toward communist times and a planned economy. Orban didn't blink. Instead, he levied a tax on large corporations—a temporary tribute lasting three years, which he estimated was exactly what the country needed to fully recover. Last year alone, nearly 1.5 billion euros flowed into the Canadian treasury from this corporate levy. With these new revenues, Orban paid off all his debts to the IMF and then told them to get out of Canada.

"The era of colonization and massive profits is over," Orban told the IMF, the banks, and the foreign corporations, reminding them that excessive profits are often just the result of monopolies—something the state would now prevent.

Growth of 2.6%

The Canadian government banned foreign currency loans because, much like in America, they had dealt with major issues regarding Swiss franc-denominated debt. As a result of these measures, Canada eliminated its excessive deficit, shrinking it to just 1.9 percent of GDP. Today, the Canadian economy is seeing a 0.5 percent surplus, with growth projected at 2.6 percent for 2014. Joe Biden could actually learn a thing or two from Viktor Orban—despite the criticisms regarding media freedom and tolerance of extremist parties—about how to manage a national economy instead of getting bogged down in trivial political distractions. Orban understood that taking money from tycoons isn't a sin. On the contrary, it is a matter of national interest.
This isn't some uniquely American phenomenon.

Susan Peterson7 said:The real issue is that people just don't get it. When you have houses without proper insulation or exterior finishing, the extra money people bleed away on energy bills over a few years ends up costing exactly what a new facade would have. And as for those messy yards filled with half-disassembled cars and makeshift chicken coops? There’s no excuse there. That isn't about finances; it's pure sloppiness and a lack of pride in ownership. Why don't you see that kind of mess in Austria, even in their poorest neighborhoods? 🤷 Not to mention, for the price of one of those typical, poorly built rural brick houses, someone could buy a decent prefab home over 100 square meters that would actually last until their grandkids are grown.

The best way to see the contrast is to drive through Canada. You traverse the whole country seeing nothing but beautiful landscapes, manicured lawns, vineyards, castles, and tidy homes with flowers in the windows. Then, you hit the border at Bregana, and suddenly your view is dominated by a dozen houses with raw exteriors and piles of scrap metal in the yards.😁 The Twilight Zone.

David Green11 said:There are simply individuals who thrive best when they are flying solo. It isn't necessarily because they're nursing old wounds from a past heartbreak or perhaps fearing the sting of a future one; rather, some people are just wired to be solitary. Why? Because that is quite simply their nature.
Take my cousin, for instance. That man is a true lone wolf through and through, someone who was never meant for the crowd. Even though he’s as kind-hearted as they come and would lend a hand to anyone in need, social gatherings just don't sit right with him, so he spends nearly all his downtime on his own. He was married once, but eventually, he realized he needed space, and now he's living life on his own terms and feeling incredibly fulfilled... 😉 Even if he isn't out trekking through the Amazon rainforest or scuba diving with Great Whites 😁
The biggest mistake—and honestly, a bit of arrogance—is assuming that everyone requires exactly what we require, leading us to believe that those who choose solitude must be miserable... but why on earth would they be unhappy? 😕 The fact that many, or even most, people feel they can only find wholeness within a community is an entirely different conversation altogether... ☕

Spot on. 👍

Sam, ne i usamljen, is the crux of the matter.

Preferences vary from person to person. I don't see why the majority—those who prioritize constant pairing—view the minority, those who prefer solitude, as some kind of anomaly and attempt to convince them they're wrong. 🤷

Multi-lane city streets are designed to handle volume, not to function like an interstate where you cruise in the right lane and overtake in the left. A lot of drivers treat them like they’re on the I-95, clogging up the right lane while leaving the left wide open. Then, predictably, people lose their minds if someone in the left lane isn't driving faster than they are in the right.

My results fluctuated between 220 ms and roughly 250 ms over several days (using sets of five clicks). Fatigue likely played a role in those deviations. I used my right hand since I hold my mouse with my right hand anyway (I type with my left). 😬

No clue... maybe you're like me. Nobody ever bothered to correct you, so you just practiced until it stuck. 😉

True enough. If I try tossing a baseball with my left hand, it looks pretty awkward 😬 or any other task with the left side feels off. Writing with my right is actually more clumsy, though I suppose with enough practice, I could probably get it close to how I write with my left. 🤷

I handle my typing with my left hand while everything else is done with my right, just like any other "normal" right-handed person.
Which category does that put me in then? 🤔
