Question regarding moderation policies in Feedback & Suggestions ·
No problem at all. You will absolutely receive answers to your questions, but I must ask that you present them through the proper channels, which is what I was attempting to clarify in my last two messages. I am genuinely pleased that you finally grasp the underlying logic here; please understand that this doesn't mean you lack the right to information—far from it—it simply means we must follow the established protocol. This is a massive community with a vast amount of activity and inquiries, so structure is essential.

I will address your inquiry regarding the strike right here, but moving forward, if you have any concerns regarding your own standing, please direct those appeals to the official PZK thread. You have every right to do so, and no one is attempting to strip you of that privilege. My previous points were quite straightforward on this matter, so let’s not dwell on the misunderstanding further; my core message remains that individual grievances should be reported via the appropriate venue.

The reason you received a strike is that you chose to comment directly on a moderator's warning to debate its content and validity. Under our community guidelines, discussing moderation actions within general discussion threads is strictly prohibited, and violating that rule results in a strike. It is clearly outlined in the rules.

As for the strike regarding the use of caps lock, that was initially issued in error due to some technical glitches with the device I was using to post. Consequently, it was retracted shortly thereafter so that a corrected strike with the accurate point deduction could be applied properly.

That covers everything. I wish you the very best during your time here on the forum.
Question regarding moderation policies in Feedback & Suggestions ·
This particular post doesn't belong in this section; it really ought to be directed toward the official Grievances thread. You are mistaken if you believe you can simply spin up your own dedicated topic and expect the moderators to drop everything to address the tribulations of young Sean Wilson wandering aimlessly through the forum landscape.

Please, I beg of you, take a moment to review the community guidelines here at the forum—they are quite straightforward, much like the rules over at Reddit. Don't squander our collective time, and certainly don't harbor any illusions that you can command a private forum where every minor ambiguity, whether it pertains to you specifically or not, will be explained to you on demand. No other members of this community operate this way, so I fail to see why you should be considered an exception to the rule.

If you wish to appeal a disciplinary action, you may do so within the specific thread I mentioned at the beginning of my message, assuming you have managed to grasp the posting protocols.

Thank you.

P.S. If the administrators and senior moderators have nothing further to contribute, I would request that this thread be locked immediately.
Question regarding moderation policies in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Since both the other user and I have already cleared up the reasoning behind her warning—specifically regarding what she said to the original poster in this thread and the previous one—and since she has confirmed she understands why it was issued, there really isn't much more to discuss. It’s been quite some time since the incident occurred, and given that you weren't involved and haven't faced any disciplinary action yourself, I fail to see why this should concern you or why you would feel the need to open an entire discussion thread about it here.

Considering you strike me as a relatively articulate individual who possesses a decent grasp of logic, I am confident you can appreciate the clearly stated sub-forum guidelines. Furthermore, under the ZPK rules, it is explicitly noted that users should not act as legal counsel for someone else's warnings; appeals are reserved strictly for the individuals who received them, provided they find the decision unclear, and such matters belong in the specific thread designated for those purposes. None of those conditions apply to your current thread. It seems you are merely concerned with a hypothetical sense of community welfare, yet based on my observation of your posting history, you clearly understand the operational mechanics of this forum just fine.
Ultimately, this topic serves no practical purpose, aside from consuming the moderators' time by demanding justifications for actions that don't even affect you. Since you were a bystander to the conversation and the recipient of the warning has already accepted the decision without appeal, your involvement here is entirely unnecessary.

Unless, of course, your intention is simply to stir the pot because you are feeling restless. If that is indeed the case, I might suggest finding a constructive hobby or perhaps contributing to one of the thousands of active discussions already available on this forum.
steelskipper132, looking back at your recent contributions, it is abundantly clear that you have leveled several misogynistic remarks toward certain participants. These individuals approached the discussion seeking nothing more than advice and guidance, maintaining a perfectly civil tone, yet they were met with your tasteless commentary—remarks that seemed to imply an inherent fault simply because they are women. You proceeded to flood the threads with arguments built almost entirely upon these crude generalizations regarding gender.
This behavior persisted over several days across multiple threads. Initially, we exercised a degree of leniency, but once you began crossing established boundaries—and specifically because you disregarded warnings (you were cautioned twice without receiving a formal penalty in a very short window) and continued with this "showy" attitude—your penalties were issued. They were well-deserved, and frankly, they could have been even more severe.

Attempting to mask these statements with a winking emoji does not wrap them in any kind of charming cellophane, and it certainly won't help your case here.

Furthermore, your current line of reasoning—arguing that these penalties were issued solely because a "female moderation panel" identified your misogyny—is equally invalid. Once again, you are implying that our judgment is flawed due to our gender, and this time you’ve attempted to be subtle by mocking what you perceive to be the "weaker" sex.

Any user, regardless of their gender, would receive identical penalties for addressing any group in such a discriminatory manner through sweeping generalizations (whether that involves mocking women, men, the LGBTQ+ community, race, or any other protected characteristic). Such posts are strictly prohibited on this platform and result in immediate penalties; it is your responsibility to educate yourself by reading the community guidelines.

Despite being personally cautioned twice to temper your rhetoric, you chose to ignore those pleas and maintained the exact same tone. Consequently, you received penalties that any user would face for mocking fellow participants—especially those who came to us with modesty and politeness, continuing to engage respectfully despite your sexist provocations. It is the duty of the moderators to protect those who follow the rules and to ensure that decorum is maintained within the discourse.

In the last few days, I have noted that you have softened your rhetoric and are posting without these outbursts, which has had a positive impact on the quality of the discussion. It is evident that you are aware of where the line is drawn, given how much you have normalized your approach recently. If you continue on this path, things will remain fine. Of course, I must reiterate that this standard applies to every single participant; you are not an exception to the rule.

Since everything has been explained to you in exhaustive detail within this post, I see no reason for further debate.

I wish you pleasant discussions held in a positive spirit and in full compliance with the rules.
Question about Skoda in Feedback & Suggestions ·
I find myself compelled to pose a question regarding the USA subforum: what was the reasoning behind shuttering the "Not Applicable" thread? In my estimation, it stood as one of the most legendary discussions within that entire section.

I noticed that the justification provided before the access key was issued mentioned that, on rare occasions, certain individuals would grace the thread with threatening or insulting remarks—comments directed at people they wouldn't dare confront face-to-face.

In my view, the fundamental responsibility of a moderator is to prune such toxicity wherever it arises, and there is certainly enough material to justify that kind of cleanup across the board. If a mere moment of effort spent deleting an occasional offensive post after a routine sweep of the thread is considered sufficient grounds to terminate such a high-quality discussion, then it is truly a profound loss; that specific thread was practically a hallmark of the USA community.

I suppose I’ll bring my grievances here as well; please, give us back the ability to view a user's total post count retrospectively.

It used to be set at 300, but now they've dropped it down to 250.

At this rate, people won't be able to truly get to know the community members they intend to socialize with, which might lead to someone accidentally grabbing coffee with a complete lunatic.

If we actually care about the safety of our fellow Redditors, we should allow for a much deeper dive into a user's posting history. 😁
When is "being polite" just too much? in Psychology ·
It simply doesn't ring true, nor does it hold any logical weight, to suggest that every exceptionally polite individual is someone to be avoided at all costs—as if an abundance of kindness were somehow a red flag for "deceitfulness" or a "snake in the grass."

Just as there are people whose warmth is deeply sincere, there are certainly those who use politeness as a hollow facade.

To draw an analogy, we see individuals who appear aggressive or standoffish upon first meeting—perhaps masking deep-seated anxiety or mistrust despite having a good heart—but then again, some people are just genuinely abrasive through and through.

Furthermore, being reserved or restrained isn't an automatic guarantee of underlying depth or quality. In many cases, if you peel back that layer of restraint, you might find nothing but a cluttered mess of mental noise.

Ultimately, when someone attempts to perform a character analysis based on the sweeping generalization that "all overly polite people should be shunned," they are demonstrating a somewhat immature perspective on human interaction. This way of viewing the world says far more about their own lack of nuance than it does about the group of polite people they are judging.

Personally, I will always vote for kindness, even when it feels excessive. I truly will. After all, we already live in a world that is far too crowded with people who are downright obnoxious to others under the convenient guise of "I'm just being brutally honest."
I have to disagree. In my view, the expectations of others shouldn't carry any weight at all in our decision-making process.

It is perfectly natural for those close to us to wish us well or to express how they would personally prefer to be treated, but attempting to force ourselves to adhere to someone else's arbitrary standards just to please them is complete nonsense. It’s a concept built on a foundation of hypocrisy; after all, individuals should prioritize meeting their own internal standards rather than demanding that everyone else bends to satisfy their personal whims.

Once we are talking about adults, there is simply no obligation to do anything for anyone else.

Of course, when you factor in children and the complexities of parenting, the entire equation becomes much more nuanced and difficult to navigate.

It’s honestly such a shame that this feature isn't visible yet.

To begin with, you'd see an immediate surge in bot accounts, and more importantly, we need to allow people the freedom to browse in peace; if everyone is constantly being monitored, all the fun disappears, and let's be honest, this isn't Tinder.

That being said, I personally would love to see a "like" button added to posts, simply because there are certain things I want to show appreciation for without feeling the need to leave a comment.
Looking for my thread in Feedback & Suggestions ·
So, let me see if I have this straight: you’re actually approaching the community for advice on how to manipulate a sweet female friend—purely because you find her attractive—into participating in a group sex scenario involving multiple men, all while filming the encounter to sell online because "times are tough" and people need to make a buck?

Furthermore, you are implying that the plan involves coercing her into entering the sex work industry under your "protection," essentially acting as her pimp.

And now you’re wondering why we had to shut your thread down?

Please take a moment to actually read the subforum rules. Thank you.

Emily Ramos35, please understand that the moderators oversee this thread just as we do all others; managing the flow and making these calls is our responsibility, not yours.

Furthermore, just because a user flags a post using the report icon doesn't mean a moderator is obligated to issue a warning or even that the report was valid in the first place.

In your specific situation, her comments didn't constitute an insult; she was simply referencing your asexual identity—a topic you have already discussed openly here on the forum. You two were engaged in a debate regarding it, and while you did ask her to stop, she hasn't responded since, which effectively ends the interaction.

The fact that you feel offended doesn't necessarily mean her remarks contained elements of actual harassment. We won't be issuing a strike here because, quite frankly, she hasn't earned one.

You did the right thing by flagging the post, and we appreciate the heads-up, but if the conversation veers off-topic again, leave that concern to us. It’s our job to police the boundaries, not yours.

A bit of advice for the future: anything you choose to disclose about yourself on this forum is subject to commentary, and you essentially take ownership of those details once they are posted. She commented on what you shared, but she didn't insult you, nor did she mock you.

Consider this matter closed; there is nothing left to debate.

Her continued tendency to dwell on such an inconsequential assumption will, quite certainly, be brought to an end.

Emily Ramos35, since you and the individual in question have already hashed out her theory—and given that you explicitly asked her to drop it only to be ignored—I don't see any grounds for moderator intervention here. To my eye, nothing she said was particularly offensive, and I thought you handled the entire exchange with a great deal of poise and professionalism.

She hasn't responded since your last warning, which serves as a clear signal that the debate has reached its natural conclusion. Consequently, there is simply no justification for imposing any kind of sanction at this stage.
Why did my post count go down? in Forum Help! ·

It is quite simple, really: you compose a post, and consequently, the tally increases. It’s basic arithmetic. 😁

boldwalker12 said:I did kindly ask you to refrain from making such insinuations, but I am beginning to realize that my request was entirely in vain.
That isn't what I said at all. My intention was merely to point out the varying sensibilities found within different PDF files. Furthermore, the community forum I also moderate is an entirely different beast compared to unknown; the atmosphere there is much more lighthearted, where banter and off-topic discussions are actually encouraged, so I certainly wouldn't characterize the user base there as a bunch of unhinged hooligans.

You are absolutely right. There is a profound difference in both the underlying energy and the way people actually communicate on platforms like unknown and unknown.

It is quite fascinating to observe how even a single, recurring contributor can exhibit such distinct shifts in their expressive style when comparing these two separate PDF documents.

Under the heading of the unknown, there is a clear disclaimer stating that the contents of this PDF include language that might be considered inappropriate for the general public. 😁

It is truly fascinating to observe the sheer breadth of temperaments that converge within this digital space. On one hand, you have these deeply earnest threads exploring the delicate nuances of divorce proceedings, the complex emotional architecture of parent-child dynamics, and the various ways people attempt to preserve the sanctity of the family unit. Yet, in the very next moment, the conversation shifts entirely toward much more carnal territory—discussions regarding specific sexual preferences, the mechanics of group encounters, or deep dives into BDSM dynamics. You even find people debating the merits of certain intimate acts or sharing stories about someone who spends their weekends engaging in casual trysts near the exits of local nightclubs. It is a striking study in contrasts, really.

It is a fundamental truth that personalities and social graces are rarely uniform; people tend to adjust their entire demeanor depending on the setting. For instance, one’s behavior during a high-stakes poker night in a buddy's basement is going to be worlds apart from how they conduct themselves while sipping tea at a girlfriend's mother's house, if you catch my drift. It is precisely because of these varying nuances and social contexts that the moderators must tailor their responses accordingly.

The moderators of this platform are truly a remarkable group of women who manage our discussions with such impeccable grace and decorum. In my estimation, their approach to handling the community is almost too delicate; they tend to drag things out with such extreme caution that it feels like walking on eggshells. It seems like even a simple, harmless question like "Is that enough for now?"—asked only after the conversation has naturally picked up steam—is treated as a major transgression that might cause someone to take offense.
It honestly feels completely unrealistic—if not entirely nonsensical—to suggest that they are under any obligation to justify themselves to you all just because someone claims, "Okay, enough is enough." Seriously?

And, quite frankly, they have already taken the time to explain the situation to you all with a great deal of patience and genuine human decency. So, in principle, I really only stepped in to point out that the locals and those who frequent the area generally arrive with a very clear understanding of the landscape. They know that a certain level of simplicity is simply part of the natural habitat there—it’s just the nature of the environment given the subject matter—rather than being a sign of any actual lack of refinement. 🤣It would be highly unlikely for any of my colleagues over at the unknown to ever make an insinuation of that nature. Furthermore, the unknown typically features much more casual and laid-back subject matter on its agenda. Consequently, there is simply no reason to organize a chat party or anything of that sort when discussing a sensitive or serious topic, especially since there are already designated spaces specifically intended for those kinds of discussions.
Why was my thread locked? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
When a man in his thirties—and if that birth year in your handle is actually accurate—decides to spend his time indulging in these highly questionable discussions about the physique of a fifteen-year-old, you might finally realize just how inappropriate and borderline your subject matter truly is. Under the legal standards established back in the early 2010s, individuals aged fifteen are categorized as children rather than minors.

Furthermore, while sexual activity involving a fifteen-year-old isn't always a criminal offense in the US, that is certainly not a universal rule.

To illustrate, I will quote the statute:

"Sexual contact with a child older than 15 (up to age 18) is punishable by law if the perpetrator was in a position of trust, such as being responsible for the child's upbringing, education, care, or mentorship."

When you look at it through that lens, it becomes clear how much of a gray area this topic occupies. It feels less like a discussion and more like blatant trolling when an adult man arrives here, sounding quite aroused, talking about wanting to hook up with a girl who hasn't even fully developed yet. This kind of topic is entirely unacceptable and far too risky for any meaningful debate. We generally direct fifteen-year-olds toward teen support resources, yet here you are, an adult male, making these comments.
Additionally, it is hard to imagine any reputable media outlet that cares about journalistic integrity and decency allowing such cheerful, enthusiastic, or suggestive writing regarding an adult having sex with a girl simply because of her physical appearance. (And yes, that is exactly the tone you used.)

It isn't that you have some underlying issue or that you've raised a legitimate question; it seems as though you practically showed up here mid-arousal to write this.

I am stepping in because I was actually preparing to close this thread myself, though fortunately, a colleague was a bit quicker on the draw.

Jane Doe has already made her position very clear.

That is all.

No matter how much effort you exert to cultivate a pleasant persona in an attempt to prove otherwise, my colleagues and I have reached a consensus: your partial privileges regarding LJS will not be reinstated at this time.

The circumstances are quite clear to you, and given that these issues are of a serious nature—necessitating extensive moderator intervention on our part, which you have consistently disregarded and, frankly, even gone out of your way to provoke—we are now definitively and unanimously rejecting your request.
LJES used to be chill, now it's just sterile in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Everything from discussing smartphones to... well, let's just say some truly graphic and irrelevant sexual antics involving vibrating phones—none of that was relevant to the author or the actual subject at hand.

The conversation drifted into entirely different territory, touching on gold-diggers and other completely unrelated nonsense.

You don't need to take it personally when an officer removes an off-topic post, nor should you start a whole new thread about it. These guidelines have been in place since the beginning.

Feel free to be as witty and unrestrained as you like, provided you stay within the scope of the topic.

There was really no need to launch a thread questioning whether the rules had changed just because you felt slighted when someone deleted one of your threads that you personally considered to be "unfiltered" or funny.

A private message would have sufficed.

Regarding the moderator's workload, I was actually referring to your habit of starting threads on this forum specifically to interrogate the staff's motives or their moderation techniques.

But that’s beside the point.

The bottom line is that no new rules have been implemented; everything remains exactly as it always has been.
