The way Spaniards are playing right now is just a total disaster—it’s like they don't even want to score... they're missing shots that should be easy and stuff that's impossible...
What's the best movie title ever? in Movies ·
Hands down, the best title would be "One Night in New York"🤣
Kimberly White63 said:Sweden vs. Canada 35:26!!!!! That defense in the final minute was insane!

I thought it was closer, like 25:27 ( 😉 )... but yeah—that clutch save by Škof at the end? Pure magic.

Caught that flick last night and... man, what can I say? It was awesome. Thanks for the heads up!
Law Abiding Citizen (2009) in Movies ·
Sure, there are some hiccups here and there—just like any other movie—but honestly, they don't really mess with the big picture for me.
It’s an engaging, fun ride that keeps you hooked until the credits roll, plus Butler was spot-on as Clyde.

8/10
It's time to replace the Stinger! in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Michael Lee4 is a moderator I have massive respect for ever since he handed me a warning.

A warning—honestly—isn't what made my opinion of him grow. It was actually the PM where he explained why he had to do it. Even though he felt just as bad as I did about it, he had to lay down the law because I broke the rules.
So basically: he’s consistent, objective, and doesn't play favorites.

Just finished watching and man—what can I say? It’s an absolute thriller. 👍
[Rec] 2 (2009) in Movies ·
mmmhmmm... could be pretty sweet. I'm stoked.
The first one was a total masterpiece—honestly, I’m passing on any remake. Just ready for the sequel.

Honestly, that saying isn't even wise—it's just totally pointless.

Nah, it’s not over yet.

Not even close.

The safety car comes out right when things were actually getting good...

Kimi was absolutely killing it today... he burned through those wets way too early—basically used them until there was nothing left—and then had to switch to others (I wasn't glued to the screen for the second stint, didn't he grab inters?)... just lol

And now they’re calling the race... what a mess.

Glock was pretty solid today though 🙏

Honestly, Ferrari had the perfect model for today's chemistry—they just didn't move fast enough...
Dancing with Bashir (2008) in Movies ·
Watched this a little while back... absolute masterpiece.

My full breakdown of the movie over in another thread
Anyway, definitely one of those races where waking up early on a Sunday morning felt totally worth it... the season is off to a killer start.

It’s a bummer though—Sebastian Vettel and Rosberg really should've ended up much higher up there, but hey, things happen... Buemi held his own, too. That duel with Glock proved the kid's got some serious guts—just needs to rack up more experience first...
Kimi keeps proving that talent alone won't turn him into a driver who can actually stay consistent at a high level...
As for Barrichello...🤣 the guy basically coasted into a good spot thanks to everyone else's bad luck, even if he didn't really earn it.

Button and Brawn were a total blast to watch, though. Such a great surprise.🙏
Call of Duty in Movies ·
I was dead set against downloading this film.
Just now, after arguing with a junior—who thinks playing "Call of Duty" actually counts as having a "story," by the way—we hit a point where I bet the movie wouldn't even crack a 2.0 on IMDb. He was insisting it’s a 6. Well, once I saw the actual rating is a 2.7, I finally gave in and decided to download it. This thing has gotta be pure trash.
I'll check back in when (or if) I actually watch it.
The only redeeming quality here is Til Schweiger. That guy really won me over in "The Moving Man," so... yeah.
😁
velvetcrane57 said:Honestly, Halloween by Rob Zombie is absolute garbage... and as for Friday the 13th, I’m not even going to touch it; I saw the original once and that was more than enough. That first film was perfect, and I have no desire to ruin that experience for myself.

Honestly, I actually liked Zombie's Halloween better than the original. But hey, that's just my take... whatever.

But look, don't write off the "Friday" flick just yet because—I was literally reading about this in the news yesterday—it isn't some straight-up remake. According to the article, they're basically stitching together a whole new story using bits and pieces from several different "Friday the 13th" movies, so it won't really be like the first one at all.

Anyway, I can't say I love or hate remakes. Some hit the mark, some miss completely, and others are just totally pointless.
I seriously don't get remakes like The Hitcher. Like, why even bother filming the exact same movie just with a new cast? The director didn't bring anything new to the table. What's even the point?
Now, I do dig Japanese horror remakes. They just work better for me. For example, I think "The Ring" is way better and scarier than the original "Ringu," and "Dark Water" landed much better for me too than the Japanese version... whereas the remake of that awesome Spanish film REC feels totally unnecessary, and I have zero interest in even trying to watch it...
The Descent: Part 2 (2009) in Movies ·
I’m feeling pretty skeptical here—honestly, whenever a movie tries to pull off an original sequel, it’s almost impossible to recapture that first lightning-in-a-bottle moment, so it feels like they're starting behind the eight ball.
The original did pretty well at the box office, so I've got a hunch this is just a blatant cash grab... though man, I really wish I was wrong about that.
Whatever, I'll still give it a watch once it hits theaters...

Man, you really have to dig through the literal trash to find stuff like that... but hey, even that has its crowd... respect.
